I thought Redfern had problems with his accelerator after hitting the wall in Heat 1.

if i have any moan it's about the dust particularly when cars run on the inner track . either make that an out of bounds area or water the darn thing is my thought . good racing though and a quite efficiently run meeting .
it's gonna be a stinking hot day , i'm off to find some shade .

Watched Rees stir and race at same time in his stockcar Friday night lol.He will have an influence if out of contention after a heat or two,he was leading heat 3 Friday(or close up)came accross a group of 5 cars so went straight through at noise, shows balls(albeit in the tank)rather than pick a way round.
Think he will help the waka if out of contention, reason for me is he probably owes the motor rebuild from teams when he blew up the motor lol.
If it is a tame first two races it could be Joblin,Penn, podium,as these guys usually don't hit and flag race well, but can drive through traffic due to car set up and skills.
If it is a proper final,i.e Rees or cohorts decide to attack from start who knows, then guys like Farum,Hickey can mix n mingle well.

In fairness to the club about half way thru they did water the infeild track when they realised that the wind was that strong that the dust was hitting the napier side.

what happened to redfern? was he driving steves car Yup he got spun forgot who by ( first heat) was parked for a couple of laps then the reds then he refired but sent to infield what happened to the good old days when they would only throw the reds if you gave thumbs down? he was in a dangerous position but so is any place on the track these days and they did give him a couple of laps to refire but I take it its ref call these days even if you dont give thumbs down We were sitting right by him and he gave thumbs down

Oh and Kev Smith 64p? He's normally quick, can anyone shed some light on his night please? Kev spent most of the week repairing the damage from boxing day. Sat morning the car was still in pieces on the shed floor, we hadn't realised that we needed to be there for scruntineering earlier so everything got thrown back together quickly. He came off after the first heat saying the car was undrivable, no power steering, no brakes. he played about with it for the second heat, but when he got spun he realised it was noisy and pulled off - one exhaust is broken and they had reminded the drivers about the noise limits in the drivers meeting - it was probably over 97 decibels and they can fine you and park you up - so Kev parked it up himself before they fined him!

Totally agree with you, I asked the infield staff to have it watered, and had to point some drivers away from the lime track with a flag to the grass. The wind was blowing the dust right over our gear and then onto the crowd. Tonight should be good viewing, i hopw we some more cloud cover come 7pm.

Only moan for me was the hole that opened up in the track by us, caused allsorts of problems. I assume it'll be worse tonight, or can that sort of thing be fixed? Other than that, racing was good and will be back tonight

Great nights racing. Good to see the gate prices last night at $15 adult & $5 child. Last Friday night at Palmy they bumped the price up to $25 just because a couple of yanks turned up Looking forward to another good nights racing.

Other than that, racing was good and will be back tonight Agreed Basil. They have had trouble all year with ruts at that end of the track. I reckon that hole caused those Ministocks to come to grief. Let's hope we see more rolls from the Superstocks than the Ministocks tonight!!!
