When Wakeling went down there at the end of last season did he not win the feature?
I hate to inform all you S.I fans of this but Wako is off the pace this season set by Allard, Logan, Brindle, O'Conner and McDonald.
So if Wako can win features down there imagine what the rest of these guys will do.
That's not to mention the likes of Colin Entwistle and Rodney Wood who have also proved their pace this season.
I predict no South Island cars in the top 5 and just 2 in the top 10.

I wouldn't count Wakeling out, isn't it his last season? If so he will be going pretty hard to get that 9th title, and he has done alot of running down there.
My picks:
1NZ = 0USA 2NZ = 71A 3NZ = 1NZ 4th = 8A 5th = 88T

Allard by a country mile even if he gets a flat tyre. There is no stopping seasoned drivers that get paid to sport their craft.
Unless something drastically changes my picks will be:
Allard Wakeling O'connor
Wake'o hasn't been on the pace, but he always pulls it out at champs times.

south islanders in the top ten, Jamie Duff 19c 1st time at palmy NZ champs 09 8th, much faster this year. Jason Scott has been struggling a Cromwell found a real hot setup at Xmas and will be fast, there's two for the top ten at least

Hard to compare as i haven't seen many of the top contenders this year. however... O'Conner came to BP and didn't win (I think he managed a second in a heat.) Skinny has been a little of the pace. Dahm went a whole 1 second faster around rotorua than skinny. I would like to see Dahm finish in the low numbers
