He is featuring the first official NZ (Std) Stockcar Championship 2001, lots of photos of all the cars, and words by Macgor (remember when he used to do reviews?) Now, who knows where all those cars are now? And even to see some of the Drivers and what they have moved on to. Awesome stuff Greg.

45a Neville Langdon s NRP Chassis , now running as the black 41m Rover powered stockcar at BayPark.
The 33r John callender ex Roigard car , i bought and sold to Jeff See in Stratford who rebuilt it and sold to Greymouth [ to a chap Oliver i think ] May still be running there ,also had a Rover in it..

 78b was last raced as 14B George Hildred you are so wrong rusty the 78b car is now 84b of mad mike mac and has been for some time |

0p Chris Ash, car now in Greymouth somewhere.
4h Rinso, still has the same car now, although V6 Holden power.
6w Hilton Parker, still owned this car last season.
16h Steve Halse, ex Bill Flowers Chev, was 5b last season.
22w Gaskin, car went to Tony Wootton, now in Greymouth somewhere.
24g car now 66g David Bacon.
26b Roger Lord, that was a cool car, where is it now??
48a Mike Barnes, for sale on Trade me now as 47a
51h this car was run this season at Huntly as 28h, owned by Justin Hutchby driven by Stephan Wallbank, since sold again.
67h Thickpenny car is now 34h Anton Leek, now V6 Holden powered.

26b is now 22b brendon hughes parked up
75b is 7p now

Thanks guys, filling in a few blanks already.
I think the 26b Roger Lord car went to 22b Brendon Hughes.
I think the 31v became 43a Mark Smith and now 55h Turtle.
41r Dougan Hart last seen as 5m Daysh, now for sale.
81a Gleeson was 168a Neill now 6a Stenson.

0p Chris Ash, car now in Greymouth raced in Blenheim by Scott Duncan, cut rollcage off for offseason rebuild and the chassis bent to unfixable state - scrapped. 89w Dale Robertson for sale on Macgors now 18w 22w Gaskin, car went to Tony Wootton, now in Greymouth somewhere. Owed by Graham Daily, just about finished after a couple of seasons making some changes in the shed  Now owned and raced and crashed by Aaron Klempel - still running the big rover, but with a nose job from OAS  76h - 1nz - now 14b of Tony Palmer in HB 7r of Steve Orr (x Rumney Super stock - 1nz?) sold to Neil Frew down South who raced it as a stockcar, then converted to superstock, then sold to HB too26b who raced it a few times, then has it parked up - sort of like the Fluro Kuriger he had a decade before? Sorry the name escapes me 9p - John Durning - Sold to Graeme Ward who got 1nz, then sold to Wellington and I beleive running as one of the Kinsey boys. 14r - Steve Axtens - sold to one of the stewart boys - not 95r but the other one. I think 16r of Clive Pritchard is now his superstock, and I thiiink 51h is now a superstock for Dave baker. 58p of peter bengston was sold to the Mcrobbies, and got 1nz - not sure who bought it from them? And the 79a was on MIA recently and apparently thats another that ended up on the West Coast?!  |

9p to 97p went to 29w till 5w then sold to v or s didnt it? or am Ii thinking another one....
there was pics of it getting rebuilt on here near the begining of the season..

I think 16r of Clive Pritchard is now his superstock Indeed it is Obby. That NZ Championship was the debut meeting of the car. |

The 89a (88a) car of jamie fergusson is back in Auckland as 13a, saw a pic of it on the photo page. Jamie is still racing now and again and has been an Alleycat over the last few years. This was Jamies debut season in the ex Ricky Mitchell A-Grade.
Was the 4a normally 42a Craig Collins?
10a Has been running as 96a/333a this season, been sold to Huntly.
19a is now in Auckland as 33a
43k is now in Stratford was 218H
64a is now in Huntly as 198H
74a went to wellington as 622w and just sold to KK
87a went to Donna Carter as 82a, unsure where it is now
94r i brought this at the end of 00/01 season, went Huntly 9h, still in the Huntly area i believe
96a has had a few owners and is now in KK with Zane Hodge
99a (98a) is now in Huntly as 17H
the 23h car, did this go to HB to the O'Rielys??

I was told that 7r was an x Rumney/Hickey sponsored Gordge - so maybe its one before the 1nz? Or is the 1nz Lyall had on the car a new one that season? |
