(x Rumney Super stock - 1nz?)No, that is still a Superstock in Christchurch, refer Gordge Hot Rod thread on MIA. Ahh, the x Jason Smith superstock that he swapped with Paul Dumelow for the x cow car. I was told that 7r was an x Rumney/Hickey sponsored Gordge - so maybe its one before the 1nz? Or is the 1nz Lyall had on the car a new one that season? I think it was only painted up to look like a Hickey car and some people jumped to conclusions. Will check back through my photos to make sure. Lyall's previous car to the 1NZ was rebuilt by Rex Neild and Murray Hobbs and went on to become the Hobbs/Boote/Whittaker Holden car that Boote won his first 1NZ in.

The 89a (88a) car of jamie fergusson is back in Auckland as 13a, saw a pic of it on the photo page. Jamie is still racing now and again and has been an Alleycat over the last few years. This was Jamies debut season in the ex Ricky Mitchell A-Grade. Was the 4a normally 42a Craig Collins? 10a Has been running as 96a/333a this season, been sold to Huntly. 19a is now in Auckland as 33a 43k is now in Stratford was 218H 64a is now in Huntly as 198H 74a went to wellington as 622w and just sold to KK 87a went to Donna Carter as 82a, unsure where it is now 94r i brought this at the end of 00/01 season, went Huntly 9h, still in the Huntly area i believe 96a has had a few owners and is now in KK with Zane Hodge 99a (98a) is now in Huntly as 17H the 23h car, did this go to HB to the O'Rielys?? The 87a / 82a / went to 344wr and then I think got sold to Ian Barron? 88a now 13a:

Hehe - your gettting way too much information in your memory banks now Pall Mall! Ok - so maybe the Steve Orr car is a copy, much like David Rumneys new stockcar is a copy of Stans Gordge Superstock? Anyway - here it is from the oldest post Gordon has on this archieve - from here it was raced down south, painted pink, converteed to superstock, then sold to Brent Wattershorn (?) 26b - I hope. At the season opener the year after that NZ meeting 02macgor.tripod.com/P02opener/Popener02.html

88a now 13a: [/quote] This was a good car, strong and ran well. Who is the driver of it now as 13a? From Greg: I think its Ricky Hotene driving 13a (from Streetstocks).

But, will wait and see what the Rotorua experts have to say. Mike and Wayne should have jumped into this thread by now, hopefully soon.

Amazing how many of these cars are still rocking on... your car has never looked better. some of the numbers on the posting are a bit awry but I tried to follow the programme, the bad old days of everyone constantly having to change their racing number at big meetings.

nope, 9p was deff John Durning in the JD Alomes owned car, other drivers JD had in this car were Murray West (who after calling Std Stocks Billy Carts a year earlier, signed in for his first night in it as William T Kart) & Peter Rees (after he up-spec'd to an A grade)

Yep you're right on the money RamJam. The car raced at the teams champs one yearwith hoosiers on and ended up Nissan powered(i think) 35p with a white bodywhen Rees drove it? Pretty sure the car ended up in Rotovegas as a motor deal to Kyle Fraser
