Dennis Hay- Ocean View Speedway- 74-75 There is no way that is 74-75, as its clearly a Mk5 Cortina, and is painted like the Group 5 Lancia Monte Carlo's from 1980/81 - so its got to be early 80's as the very oldest...

One notable absentee from this thread is WiseOwl's ex-Fletcher Buick Skyhawk, which wintered over in my shed one year. Does anyone have any piccies? The Wise One always turned his cars out immaculately.

Is that #8 not Allan Saville and is this car still around after Savvy had it did #54i Norm Butler not purchase it? Seeing a photo of my 1st saloon awoke me from the barn with much interest.... I can clarify that the photo is my 1st Saloon I raced under a lease deal from Mike Laird of PN.... This car originally came from ChCh..somebody BLACK had it Prior???. I only raced it for 3 mnths and generally had No Idea what I was doing....That actually continued for the rest of my Saloon Days... A great night at PN was when 85P,3P,55P,62P 2nd 2P failed to lap me more than once a race !! LOL..mind you, they werent bad drivers at the time. I even applauded at the wheel when "Blondie" passed me out by the wall at the North Islands in his Rover...What a Great view from the pole line. Best Seat in the house However,,, It was fun having a "race within a race" with My old mate ( yes old!!) Mike "hermo" Hermansen in his Viva !! ;D ;D ;D The car I sold to Norm Butler was the Kuriger of Geoff Fletcher's Buick Skyhawk 8M....Different from the above machine.... Cheers Wiseowl ( Back to the Perch now for the Winter )
