If the bellhousing is welded to firewall, I wonder how much it has pulled due to the heat and put everything out of alignment.

Just had a look at your other thread there paul,You could cut your bellhousing off flush with the firewall and make up a removable bellhousing like your last car, If you carefully cut through the welds you may only have to add a flange on the firewall side to mount to the firewall. Just an idea that may work well

adding insult to injury the oil seems to be a premix blend, probably 50% fuel mix in the sump think she needs some work ae.... need to weigh up my options and maybe give this season a miss..

Dont worry Paul i was hoping to be out this season coming BUT that wont be happing now so ive had to put it to the next season, But it gives me more time to do things right instead of rushing it. Stick with it mate it will happen (Suddenly a stockcar rebuild working bee sticks in my head)

im hoping the premix is a fuel pump malfunction... with block it off and run a electric pump..
sorted.
the flywheel and clutch bits should turn up some time this week, so will check the clutch on the new flywheel to make sure that all works fine, then put it all back in once the engine gets sealed (if i can find out who does it in grey)..
in other news:
go the seat remounted to suit my longer legs. purchased some wheel centres, just need hoops to put them in got some more tyres (dont tell the mrs i flogged them off the truck) ;D only need numbers and crotch belt mount for CVI now..
will make contact with a couple of people who were interested in sponsorship at the end of last season, fingers crossed...

the problem now is ive run out of time....
went out to the shed again in a desperate bid to find out whats going on... its doing my head in...
i replaced the clutch slave rod with a threaded bar, wound the bejeepers out of it to the point where the clutch was starting to engage, thinking that the fork wasnt getting enough throw.
still didnt work, so i put it in gear, fired it up, and it sat on one spot with the clutch engaged, let it out and it actually moved, put it in and managed to stop it without stalling..
so it has drive....but it still wont let me put it in gear while stationary...
could this be a box issue?
ive really lost any interest in this car now...this will be the last hoorah this weeknd if it doesnt get sorted
