was trying to move the car today.. turns out the front right caliper is siezed by the way it has sheared off the king pin bolts.. the car ended up sitting on its nose...
had no spare bolts, so i had to make some temporary ones out of a gate gudgeon..
so just another fix it job added to the allready inflated list..

clutch works perfectly fine, well it worked... however the brakes dont....typical i need to put some steering stoppers on the hubs, cos only 1/4 turn if that each way and shes full lock...should be good on the track, cheers towbar ;D ive ordered a head gasket and manifold gaskets for it, should be here next week. hopefully i get a spare moment during the weekend to put it on the trailer where ill pull the head off ready for engine sealing... then find someone willing to put the head back on for me... also plan to remove the mechanical fuel pump cos i think its leaking into the oil, the oil smells full of fuel, not too good at revs.. once all thats sorted i just need to make a crotch belt mount, fit the belts and put some padding on the steering box and seat (i dont have much natural padding) get some numbers made up and thats about it i think.. other than rims, tyres, tubes, transponder, licence, club membership, battery... hopefully i have it ready for the first practice, that way if it rains or breaks i can get it back for atleast one more unlike last year where i could only get to one practice and the bloody thing died on the 2nd corner....darn module...none of that on the hemi.. oh did i mention that she SOUNDS BLOODY MENTAL!!!

clutch works perfectly fine, well it worked... oh did i mention that she SOUNDS BLOODY MENTAL!!!Two good bits of news there Paul! Looking at the list, looks like if you start at the front end with the brakes etc, and work your way through the steering stoppers (?) and bolt tightening at the same time you could be sorted in a few nights. Obviousley the engine sealing might require a trip to greymouth - might be able to tie that in with the CVI - I think towbar is doing all of them out of his workshop, so will be pretty good spot to do it. Bet the hemi does the job allright - and no doubt it will handle, and will be fast handling at that with the new steering set up. Will be a good little car thats as tough as nails, and good for a seasons blast! advertising removed from this post by macgor

took the body off the car today before i take it up to gm for engine sealing.. put the body, bonnet and wing in the shed....and thought, hmmm, might paint it.. and boy does it look 1000000 times better so far...didnt like the purple, reminds me of a gay pirate, not cool.. no hints on colours yet but there may be a couple on it.. so until practice- if it makes it... use your imagination
