A great list of super saloon competitors. I gave my tick to Dean 81m, being argueably, consistantly the best all round sportsman, fairess, integrity, on and off the track - coupled with significant podium success over the years. I don't believe I've ever witnessed a driving style, incident, that reflects a lack of respect for fellow competitors or disregard for the rules. No jump starts, no intimidation, argy bargy, and when he's ripped off (NZ Champs Cromwell) he quietly accepts the outcome and gets on with the job! Awesome roll model. Now we need to get him, and others like him, taking on governance roles!

Waddell, McIntyre, T. Cardwell, Hodson, Colson, Burson, Gregory, Chamberlin. Colson & Chamberlin - Were always my favourites over the years. The 'Do or Die' attitude was always entertaining. Hodson, Burson & McIntyre - Seem to be quick wherever and have a whole lot of racecraft. Easy contenders next season. Waddell and Gregory - Fantastic passing ability and huge consistency for Waddell. Tony Cardwell - Legend

AMEN Murray
I have worked with and for, within our sport for a few years and I must say I am VERY impressed with Deans abilty to be a great sportsman and at times having to take it on the chin even when things have gone against him. I also must say that behind this great competitor is a great crew who at times have also had to be very mature in what happens.
When i was looking at this pole and its names i thought how do i pick 8 it would be way easier to pick one or two that is not my picks. I would say that the Super Saloon class has NEVER been so healthy with the quality of competitors.
One thing I think that the Flynn boys need to be listed separately

Skinny Colson was my pick, as before he went to sprintcars, his passing around the outside was the best to watch, ;D
Sometimes was the only guy to do it in some races.

i reakon richie tayor is a great driver, he knows how to run the high line on a tacky track and he knows how to run a slick track, alot of drivers cant adapt to both conditions and be fast

Donald Gregory would have to be one of the best with his ability to go round the outside of cars while others stick to the racing line.

My vote goes to Lance Jennings, the most unluckiest super driver never to win a NZ1 but you never know napier is another race meeting , Good luck Lance 2011 is your year to change it.
