Hi There
I am just wondering would you watch speedway on the internet if you were able to watch it free of charge?
Cheers

Any speedway on TV has to be of a quality (the racing, the camera work, the commentary, the whole shooting box) that might entice new fans, not just preaching to the converted who would watch anything with wheels and an engine. This is because of what it costs the sport to produce. The wrong sort of coverage would turn away people, not attract them, and I've certainly witnessed coverage that has even turned me off and put me to sleep (and I'm already a fan!!). One in particular, coverage of a meeting I attended which I found pretty exciting, was completely crucified by the editing team, and did no justice to the racing spectacle at all. If the sport had been relying on this coverage to encourage me to attend a live meeting, I'd have stayed home. The internet is different however. It's more about the already converted. But this is certainly a loaded poll question. Free speedway on the internet? Of course people are going to say yes. But it's also not telling us a darn thing. I'm surprised 4 people have already said no, but maybe that's because you're asking a question that has no real answer - because it's not a real question. By that I mean it has no information or substance. I'll vote no too, although I feel, done well, speedway on the internet has a greater future than speedway on television.

I was planning on setting up NZ's first community based internet television station which I was planning to have live streamed speedway free to watch but sadly due to work commitments this is not going to happen this season but will look at it for the following season. I have had a lot of interest for a number of different parties. Lets hope we see more speedway on the internet which is of a better quality Regards Duane
