I read somewhere a while back that after F1 Latemodels have the most suspension development in motorsport as they are not constrained by any rules for the rear ends. Likely a US article so would have not considered motorsport outside of the US Quite surprising they even knew what F1 was actually, been a few years since they had a US Grand Prix!

Hay Scotty, I hope you didn't rip out your torsions like you said you would! You'd make a lot of work for yourself to change. Both coils and torsions work, assuming everything's designed and set up right. The main thing's to get the spring/wheel rates right and your cross weights and stagger combinations right for your track and conditions. You mentioned rear steer on the Yank car, well I dunno what type of rear suspension he was running but he probobly used a high percentage of anti-squat to get the power down and with some designs rear roll oversteer is a by-product of a/squat. You can build adjustable roll steer into your car and it can help you set it up for different conditions, e.g. if it's pushing you can adjust roll oversteer into it, or if it's loose you can adjust roll understeer into it. PK.
