Well the luck factor I suppose was putting the hits in without major damage to their own cars.

The times they are a changing for the Tigers as it is the year of the smash the N. Doesn't really have the same ring to it though does it? Anyway, not sure "Smash the [add letter of your choice here]" really holds any water. to win, you have to smash every team you come up against..right?

Nelson last year in the final had a race which went to plan, not often that happens, the Dec race up here prior to the great win in Feb showed how the tigers had to change tactics to win, they totally were whipped by panthers, but learnt from that and did the job in style in Feb last year.
Depends what happens in next couple of weeks with body and motors after both 240 and 248 meetings.
Stand by the fact that both Bengsten and Rees are like having an extra driver such is dedication to the cause,Hemi gives it all,but IMHO not as much.
Tell you what though, the meeting is getting new blood to come along,my eldest daughter and her 20 yr old mates are coming down, silly thing they said was while at uni here they never went along lol,now living away they decide to partake, still is what we want, new blood to enjoy speedway eh?

Has the Panthers line-up been confirmed yet? I do realise that it might depend on Scotty's health over the next few days.

I thought I read it in the Global Challenge story, but can't find it now. It's either been removed or I was in lala land!!!
I did hear the team is unchanged (depending on other circumstances obviously) from last year; Miers, Rees, Bengston, Penn, Hemi with McCabe as 6th driver.

On page 6 of the 248s results page Kerry said they announced the teams at the track Panthers unchanged-all depending on Miers body.

Sotty got up from the couch, put down the remote and went to work today, so that's a good sign.

I think the P will be on top again this year, I liken them to the South african rugby team. If they have been beaten before WATCH OUT anyone in that gets in their way. They are all very talented and experienced drivers, and if Scotty doesnt front Andy McCabe will fill that space easily, we all know he can dish it when needed

Good if other teams get the title, other wise its like Michael Schumacher and Sebastien Loeb winning all the time.
