What do you think on start times as a Racefan, Driver, Supporter etc. Im glad Rossco has bought this up. I would say 1pm as that whats its been since i can remember and why change it. People have alway been at 1pm so that when they head to meeting, add in 3pm, 5pm iits not keeping it standard. Another thing is the Track bringing in more $$$$ by racing at different times. What do Drivers prefer

Those, like myself, who are racing on a Saturday night really struggle to get from Wellington, Gisborne (or where ever) to Kihikihi on a Sunday for a 1pm start, which I've have done a few times!

yes but how many come that far to a meeting there over say those who have attended maybe huntly, vegas, baypark or even aucks, from other tracks and could be tempted for a skid on way home , 1pm more appealing so they can carry on home after at a decent hour

I travel from Ohope which is close to 2.5 hours. KK are not known for fast and efficient running of meets, so 5 hours travel plus close to 4 hour meeting means a 9 hour round trip.
Earlier start the better for me.
Half ten leave, 1 pm start, 5pm finish, home bout half 7. Not too bad for a Sunday. Up at half 5 the next day to start work.
