Just so we don't have to scroll through all the comments on the other weather thread, can someone please keep all us Macgorians updated with the weather in Palmerston North today. At the moment Metservice is saying that it's 20* and 100% humidity, so it doesn't look as though it will be cold! The forecast looks a bit better than last night's version. Thanks folks

Scotty has organised the rain to divert attention from the discussion on his injuries........ or maybe to give him more time to heal

Still constant drizzle, just when you think the odd lighter patch of sky starts appearing and your hopes go up, another shower passes through. All of the optimists, including Scotty on the radio this morning, are saying it is going to clear, but from where I'm sitting (5mins from track) it don't look too flash. The wind that we had for the last few days has gone so, even if it stops raining now, it's going to take something to dry everything off. Never give up hope though.

Not raining for now, still pretty wet under foot. Don't know if it's my optimists eyes but it does look a little lighter from the south. Wind has picked up a bit again, so............

Another heavyish shower just started. I really feel for any travellers - do we go, do we wait, what's gonna happen? It's easy for us locals, although frustrating. Got my ears pinned to the radio so as soon as any announcements are made I'll post as quickly as I can. Don't know what's happening as far as scrutineering in the square goes, I'll also let you know if I hear anything about it.
