Why would the promoters have this idea, there is a sell out crowd for supers,no reason a stockcar teams couldn't be as successfull and held sometime later,a way of making more dollars. Exactly! Bruce too much of a business man to combine the two. Both events will be worthy of a watch. I remember the last time Palmy run the stockcar teams the crowd was very average I thought. Great racing and no need to get there at 5pm to get a seat the crowd was average but decent, at least on the friday night. oi wasnt able to make it for the saturday nights finals. addmission wasnt over the top either, $25 for an adult i think, although back then a normal nights addmission was $15, so we are probably looking at anywhere between $25-40 to get in each night for next years stockcar teams, but we will see closer to the time

Having Peter Rees compete in two classes is a good idea. He would (hopefully) be so worn out that he would have to withdraw from the Panthers in the final and the oppostion's chance would increase by a 1000%.
LOL ;D

Friday night Stockcar Qualifying Saturday night Superstock Qualifying Sunday night finals for both
YOu would end up with 3 sell out days. I think due to palmy having 2 big teams events a few people may pick one over the other and it may end up with just half a crowd for the stockcars. this way you would b gaurenteed 3 days of sell outs im sure. Also for the guys like rees who race in btoh. if he is truley a legend like people have named him to be im sure he could race in both and be fine?

Don't think all three days will be sell outs and more so Rees won't be able to do both. Legally yes, but physically no.
Teams drivers end the weekend pretty sore if not broken now, add double duty to it and you are kidding yourself.
But again Bruce won't let it happen, so closed arguement.
Palmy teams is almost perfect. You could make it better with pre entertainment and better support classes on the second night, but again Bruce is a business man and can make awesome money without paying for support classes and pre entertainment. We all turn up to watch regardless and he laughs all the way to the bank.
To his credit is the way he made Friday night happen. I believe no other track would have run under those conditions, and the fact that the majority of the place was pre sold he didn't really need to.
I have been an advocate of stockcar teams races as support for the teams champs, but not the nz teams champs. It deserves to be a meet in it's own right.
Then I just need to sort Gizzy or HB take it out.

stockcars wont be as successful cause they simply are not as good to watch. This is probably the only time supers are worth watching at least stockcars hit every race. Each to there own i say.

Doubt this will ever happen. If we were all in Palmy promotions shoes and running this as a business we would all run it over two separate weekends aswell. Palmy Superstock teams is always a sell out anyway so 2 of the 3 nights you wouldnt get any extra revenue..
