Yes, Higgy is one - a total of 8 on my list at the moment. Just can't remember them all off-hand, so will go through my list at home tonight and list them all at once. The list has come from an "official" source, so is accurate. I await with bated breath

Don't think I can help you with that one Jammer. If Marty wants to give a little info I can check it out - must say I'm interested to hear about it myself, especially since it's happened before as well....

the main issue really is that teams and drivers got pinged apart from the Panthers incidents To say the rules are controversial nearly every year( from Busterbell) and the Panthers get away with it.... that is not right at all, agree mostly with everything you have said marty, but dont understand your above sentences which somewhat contradict one another. please explain. radical buster ;D

2011 relegations and exclusions;
In some cases I don't know what position the car was relegated or DQ'd from. Where I do know, I have said. Where I know, I have also stated the reason for the stated action.
The refs took into account the conditions, especially on the first night, and took note of the direction wheels were turned and where a driver was genuinely trying to stop and/or get back onto the racing surface, or not, as the case maybe.
After many races, drivers and/or managers were warned for situations such as where a car crossed the pole line but no advantage was gained. Virtually every team was spoken to at some stage of the weekend, and people were called up after 11 of the 18 races.
FRIDAY NIGHT
Race 2; Team GB vs Christchurch
1/ 04gb Craig Finnikin relegated from 1st to 3rd for crossing the pole line entering turn 1, when passing, during the race
Race 4; Hawkes Bay vs Mustangs
2/ 33b Gary Foley DQ'd for reversing against the traffic flow
Race 5; Kihikihi vs Nelson
3/ 25k Keven Roberts removed from track under red light from pole line incident, exiting back onto track and walling traffic
SATURDAY NIGHT
2nd Minor Semi; Waikato vs Team GB
4/ 94h Kerry Remant was relegated from 4th to 5th
1st Major Semi; Nelson vs Stratford
5/ 83n Brett Nicholls relegated from 1st to 5th for passing over the pole line entering turn 1 on the first lap - the driver admitted the indiscretion to SNZ officials which should, in my opinion, end speculation by angered fans that saw it differently and as some sort of conspiracy.
6/ Also in the same race 43s Steve Guilford was excluded from the results (there was some confusion as to whether it was 43s or 45s Chris Flett that was excluded, but as Flett DNF'd I'm assuming it was Guilford)
Race for 5th & 6th; Team GB vs Wanganui
7/ 01gb Frankie Wainman Jnr DQ'd for putting a V car up the wall under a red light
Race for 3rd & 4th; Nelson vs Rotorua
8/ 81n Brendan Higgins DQ'd for attacking 99r Kyle Fraser in the wrong direction

SOOooo what Marty means is something like "Sorry Ramjam, when I wrote [rubbish it is you that seems to know nothing Jam it was extremely late at night and I didn't have my glasses on. It would seem you were right and you do know a few things, Very sorry Ramjam" Then I would write thats ok Marty, apology accepted.

is # 8 the reason 3rd and 4th was in doubt during the presentations?? There was another issue in the race which ultimately came to nothing @ penman, the #8 incident was in T2 and did not involve Horse (was with Kyle Fraser, as above)

So it's okay to raise an issue, make an allegation, but not to explain or back it up? No wonder Rammers gets on his high horse sometimes haha

Thanks for posting all that up Barry. All that is good to know for spectators. It should be posted with all race results.
One reason I sometimes stay queit on this forum is cos there is too much pregnant doging and slagging about great drivers and meetings. Justice ends up taking care of itself.
Anyway good to know and great meeting.

Oh and next time you are called up to make the biggest announcement of the night SHOUT IT, because when you came on and the crowd heard "drama" they just got louder and you got drowned out ;D. IT'S RUDE TO SHOUT!!! Yes, it did get a bit noisey out there. I wasn't supposed to be on the mic with Russell at all, but once THAT news came through it was easier to jump on and do it myself than try and explain it all to Rusty - AND I hoped Paul H would hear and alert the Speedbox viewers as well, as it'd take too long to type all that into a text and send it upstairs to him ;D
