We love having these guys here whatever the race class may be. But, in light of the mixed discussion/debate regards the NZ Sprintcar title going offshore & now our NZ Midget title going to the USA also, are we really that happy the 1NZ can be won by the overseas competitors?
Your thoughts & reasons please
mines a no, it guts me. I'd rather see a World Champs for these guys to compete in, like what Superstocks have, just because many of the imports are professionals

I don't think that these paid proffessionals should be able to race in our NZ champs what ever the classis .It is unfair advantage to them that is for sure ,
What it comes down to is guys like Lendich Salter and alike can't win nz champs with local drivers so they buy one ,
Must of cost him thousands to win this one for sure ,
I like watching these guys race here that is for sure saves me plenty to go to states to watch just not in NZ champs

In the case of Coons and Allard sure why not. They have both raced multiple seasons here not just come over to take the title this year. Same would apply if FWJ ever won the Superstock title. The real question should be should WS ever hold a NZ championship with that track. The answer to that is NO.

I don't have problem with Americans coming over here contest our titles- what does bother me when title is contested on sub-standard racetrack like WS other night. when drivers safety are at risk. which is supposed be paramount.. then frankly should never, have major championship title decided their. not with present promotors whom don't seem give darn! what conditions they serve up quite un acceptable
