We have 6 confirmed teams so here's how it will work.
2 groups of 3, round robin in each group racing for points.
1st - 100pts 2nd - 40 pts 3rd - 25pts 4th - 20pts 5th - 10pts
So that's 6 teams races night 1 + support classes
Night 2
From there one team from each group will drop out and race for 5th/6th on night 2.
The remaining 2 teams in each group will race for the semi finals.
Winner of group 1 Vs 2nd place from group 2 Winner of group 2 Vs 2nd place group 1
The winners from the semi finals will race for 1st and 2nd, and the loosers for 3rd and 4th.
Night 2 will be first accross the line, no points needed.
So thats 5 teams races on night 2
Group 1
Auckland Allstars Palmerston North Panthers Hawkes Bay Hawkeyes
Group 2
Kihikihi Kings Rotorua Rebels Waikato Wanderers
Support Classes
Night 1
Saloons Streetstocks Ministocks Stockcars
Night 2
Auckland Modified Champs Supersaloons Minisprint GP
Should be full fields i'd expect. night 2 is gunna be a cracka with 18-20 Mod, 20 Supersaloons and 20 Minisprints.
Admission Prices
Night 1
Adults $30 Kids $10 family $70
Night 2
Adults $35 Kids $10 Family $80
It's been a bit quiet, that should get you all talking.
And, there is still talks going on about a select team so that could throw a big spanner in the works.

They were seeded/ranked on recent form, and made as fair as possible. I think Auckland would have prefered to be in the other group but thats how it worked out.

wouldnt it have been more fair to just randomly pull teams from a hat?

wouldnt it have been more fair to just randomly pull teams from a hat? No - and anyway, it's absolutely persisting down in Auckland so all hats are in use

Hope they get a good crowd at those prices.
I haven't seen a capacity crowd for a long time at this venue and not sure if a top dollar entry will cover the outlay if the people don't come.
Hope it all goes well and the event can get some decent coin. Well done WP for going for it. It gives us a second superstock teams meet and we all love that. On call for work in the Mount so will have to watch the Nth Island stocks. Better than nothing I spose.

Everyone moans about auckland not having this meeting, then once they anounce that its finally happening after alot of work, people then bag it, it costs money to get these teams events like this to happen, good on you auckland we will be there. For those that moan about the price when palmy was entry was more $$, if you dont support it dont moan if it cannot be run next year due to lack of support. Take a look at bang for your buck with support classes.

$30 and $35 is a bit steep for 6 teams entered. Guess i wont be going with my family then. All the best WP.

Entry prices are too steep for the show being put on.
I felt violently ill looking at the Friday night schedule.
The cream of the Stockcar field will be away at the North Island Champs. Streetstocks - how many? 10 piddling around the track oblivious to the fact they are supposed to be hitting each other? Ministocks being asked to put on a show the class simply can't put on.
Saloons will probably be good but this is in no way a $30 meeting.
I can't make Saturday night (thankfully) but I'm intrigued as to how a night 2 track is going to handle the classes on offer. All very well stacking the Saturday night but if the track can't handle the classes then there isn't much point.
Scary thing is what would they be charging if they were bringing Nelson up here as well?
Oh and if anyone wants to start a results thread I'll start one here.
Group 1 Palmy bt Auckland Palmy bt Hawkes Bay Hawkes Bay bt Auckland
Group 2 Rotorua bt Kihikihi Waikato bt Kihikihi Rotorua bt Waikato

Take a look at bang for your buck with support classes. Not bagging, just think they need to find a balance between entry fee and punters that are prepared to pay that. $20 (specially with the classes and possible car numbers) and $25 may mean more people will go and more money got. Time will tell. I hope it works out well as there aint enuff teams meets for superstocks. I think outside of Palmy, realistically only Rotorua may be able to make money out of an event like this, and they don't seem to be keen to take the gamble.

Actually while I am at it, is there a need for a second night with only 6 teams. (other than to get a double gate)
A 6 team format, (first round on points, top 4 on points through to the semis), the semi finals , and then the finals, would work. Add your big field of mods and super saloons. Add mini stocks or what have you to full the programme, and there you have a $30 meet.

I will be there for sure for both nights BUT i just hope for the clubs sake the high gate price doesnt put people off. If it was a 8-10 team meeting then i could understand. As someone else said, i hope the track holds up on the sat night. I hope running all these titles at once doesnt end up like Meeanee this weekend and one event over shadows the others. Pity that only 6 teams are going to front.

On their website they quote $25.00 for 'Premier or Championship'meetings, so where on earth do they get $35.00 per adult from? We would pay $25.00, but not $35.00, need some pretty big action for $35.00

What i can,t understand is if WP is short on money why charge so much and only get a small number of people there
why not just charge say $25 and fill the place to capacity then you lot would make more money
or do 2 nite concession for $45
only pay$30 at the springs on a international nite

Thats right. For a poor 6 team turn out then it not worth admission they asking. Wouldnt have minded if 8-10 teams turned up with the likes of Nelson, Canterbury or north Island select.
All the best WP but you have made my mind up to go to Eden Park and watch 2 games of league for $20.00 in Main grandstand.
