Thought I may as well start this thread... The North Island Superstock Champs on Friday & Saturday night will be huge, no doubt about it. Two days and nights of the Superstock circus back in Palmy, we're so lucky. I wouldn't be surprised if 282s Phil Ogle sets some sort of lap record this weekend, he's been just a blur all season - that's if he gets by Rees, Hemi, Penn etc. I'll be taking my little camera to capture a few moments for those of you who can't make it, but.. ...if you're from out of town I totally recommend that you come to Palmy and enjoy the big guns before winter is here and you start moaning about there being no speedway. A stockcar roadie convoy always gives me good buzz, you just forget your troubles and anything seems possible, I love it. So who's coming to the #1 Superstock track in the land? free image hosting

We will be heading up to support our Wellington cars Dale 89w Mike 54w and Darren 4w. Lets just hope its not a Palmy walk over with half the field sporting a P!!!
Where are all the Rotorua cars?? Palmy cars supported the 240's and Nzs?

Elsworth and Westbury mostly race at home
Fraser and Horse are still repairing damage from teams
Steiny's possibly fixing car after rolling last weekend
Hewson ; don't think he intended to race
Osborne ; broken leg
Kenny/Gary/Barry Jr Hunter haven't done much traveling this year.
There's a few reasons for you.
Don't think traveling to the NZ champs counts as supporting a track either.

I should know but I don't - and I can't be smokeged having a phone around.
But I see in the entry list 6K is being driven by Dion Mooney.
Anyone know the background to that??
Cheers.
Roger Morrison.

Ryan Johnson has been driving this but is no longer able to for various reasons. The Ridlands and Mooneys are mates. My guess is Dion is getting some time in the car to drive it for The Kings in AKL. Better to have him on your side than not. But I guess that won't happen if Wanganui enter The Teams Nats

Brad & Stacey are staying at my house this weekend so I'll let you know what the plans are for 6K - like who's turn is it next ? Personally I think it would be awesome to have Dion as part of the Kings someday, he's an aggressive driver with survival skills to match, but we'll have to wait and see I suppose. While I'm typing away I should mention that I will be taking a few pics for ya'll of the unveiling of the newest superstock in the country tommorrow, and it's absolutely incredible. You won't be disappointed. Finally, on behalf of PTR Racing 28K thank you Bryn Liddell stockcar 197P, Nick Webb, CSL, BombsAway, and Naki's Pride & Joy Auto's for all your help and support this week. We're all set now and looking forward to a great weekend of SVO Ford powered Superstock action. GO SLIDEWAYS adult image hosting

eye bro, it's a real hot rod aye. We're driving it outside tommorrow for photo's and for me to talk to the owner and driver and builders of the chassis and the engine.
You could get one of these Jayden, just need the corporate sponsorship.
no more till 2moro.
PS: I've also been invited to report on Hebnier Motorsport's new Pudjursky tank with the quad cam Jaguar V8. I'll be in Wanganui this Sunday so I'll see if I can get a look for a quick hour, and take a couple of pic's This tank will race this season.
Anyway, I drifting of the topic - will 72p Simon Joblin be there this weekend?

The first Kihikihi King is in Palmy having bacon & eggs, all good. Brad confirms that Dion will be part of the Kings team for Auckland. He is also humbled by the Mr Push thank you's, but points out that he did roll Stieny which brought on the reds, which resulted in Lala breaking his driveshaft. So he sort of caused it.. ha ha Brad would like to thank REES Races cars, TWS Welding Services, Alfa, Signman and Track Sport Engines for their support of PTR 5k Racing. YE HAR Bring it on !! image host

79p Kerry Humphrey is unfortunately out due to a family wedding and other commitments. Im picking a return to form for the Waituna Warrior Bevan Humphrey to pick up a podium place.

Bevan was certainly very impressive for Wanganui at PNs teams event - the car was really hauling.
Plus, its tomorrow, so i'm looking forward to seeing this brand new car, with the best of everything - has the owner raced this season?

Go Slideways is at the track right now, heaps of cars here. Wayne Hemi got kicked out of the meeting for driving through the pits like a angry idiot very fast after the last race. Lucky nobody got hurt, including him.Wayne has posted a public apology on his facebook, cool, time to move on and have some fun. The up side is that 28K got elevated one position which means we qualify. all good. Gotta go, stockcars race 1 up now. Cheers upload image image host

I've got at least 50+ more pics to add to this thread but at the moment when using my postimage upload program a message pops up "An internal error has occurred - cannot add image to database" and it won't let me upload pics.
I'll get my computer guy to sort it out and I'll post pic's from both night's racing and the final night at the Forest Elbow Palmy clubrooms asap. Was a good night with a good band too.. ;D
RIP The Elbow
