The format for this event has been changed. The finals will now be run over three heats rather than over two as originally planned. Each group will have two qualifying heats with the top fifteen cars from each group going through to the finals to fight out the champs in three fifteen lappers.

oh and I may have had my name on a std stock scruteneering card this season weather I sat in the seat or not...still counts as a meeting.. Problem solved eh? I know there are a few drivers on the list who havnt raced a stockcar at all this season too by the way Certainly makes a mockery of the situation for all concerned......

Correct, (and I am not commenting on the jory/rotoholic v's liana/sue arguement) although many a time entrants in various NZ champs have done so in the exact manner described. Time to get rid of this and plenty of other rules that are either never enforced or have so many loop holes

Yes I am interested to know what the point of the 3meeting rule is really other than stopping non kiwi drivers flying in racing then flying out with the silverware as it's obviously not for safety reasons!

Better make sure we bring plenty of gas then. Will the consolation cars get 3?

Go Slideways is looking forward to this one big time, hope the P cars can continue to work together, been a real standout feature that the club is coming together more than ever in this class. The palmy youngsters have been doing well this season and now could be the time they win this for the first time. However, with these young guys comes two of the best things is speedway, no fear racing and the best third heat you will ever see. I have had the pleasure of being at all of the previous U23 champs and they have produced some, if not the best, racing in the Stockcar class I have seen. Fans will not be disappointed, the future of stockcar racing in New Zealand is in very very good hands! Good luck to all competitors, be safe and race hard!

Does it fall under the 3 meeting rule? I know you dont have to have done 3 meetings for a GP, been there done that.

Sorry guys off topic i know but, the loop hole i was referring to was that you only need to sign the scrutinering card to have been classed as raced at that meeting. I know I said I wasn't going to comment on the argument that was going on but I know Al 46v (as have many many others) has signed scrutinering cards in the past of cars he has no intention of driving. Its not against the rules, and I am certainly not berating him for doing so. just pointing out that every driver is entitled to use their interpretation of any rule as it is written, until it has been clarified that his interpretation is wrong. EDIT: pls note although I use 46v as an example I am not criticising him for it and I wll make clear I am refering to teams meetings. See tinyurl.com/macgors for further explanation

Sorry Ramjam but you would know that how? Yes im sure he has signed others scruiteneering cards when he is teams racing but that is a standard thing to do is it not!!. In case they need to race one of the other team cars. Theres no reason he would have done it any other time as the amount of racing he does hes always well within any of the standard requirements for entering championships.

Im pretty sure this is a private run promotion by the stratty club with SNZ sactioning. Therefore there is no need for the 3 meeting or 1 meeting rule to be used. If I'm correct then there is no need for all the slagging and other crap comments to be made.

its written on the entry form and I know of at least one person that cant enter because of being unable to get a meeting in due to Te Marua not running last weekend. No one is slagging anyone its simply a discussion about the conditions of entry.
