Peter Barry Memorial Stockcar Teams meeting (Read 6,348 times)

We had a great night at Meeanee with the Palmerston North Pumas being supremely dominant & taking out the Peter Barry teams title, and Wardy's disciples giving it heaps in the other team BombsAway cars as well.

Here's a few pics, Mr Ward was really impressed with the Rees tank and won the final with ease. None of the Huntly cars finished.

Team BombsAway went up to the Bay to support the Pumas and Solomon Scott had the ex 98N car out for it's first run. He went awesome, hitting cars right from the outset and just about handing Jayden Ward victory when he nearly rolled the lead car on the last lap of the first race while Jayden was running in 2nd place.

Joel Pitcher had his Chevrolet cranked right up and won going away from the rest in the Superstock race I watched.

Bryn's battery died but no worries, just a push start needed to get back out there for the last race.

Solly was on a mission all night and put the ex-Nelson car to the test. A couple of bit's weren't up to the pace and will be upgraded this week before the Manawatu Stockcar Champs.

What make is the brake booster on the 197p if you don't mind me asking. Looks small which is what i need.

Have to admit Im not surprised... I know its tough to drive these things - but ive not seen huntly do well as a team for a LONG time...

From what I can see - in the crowds and behind this keyboard, i will admit - theys reaction times are a bit too slow and theys runners are too slow after the pace gets set too. Last time i saw them teams race they appeared to have no blockers in the team...

no we just qualified by chance and the fact we had a hard race against meanee and had less time to fix our cars has nothing to do with it, get out from behind your keyboard and hop in a car and let me know ill be there to take notes on how its done rhodesta.

As I wasnt there this time I didnt get to see how well you did.

I am getting a car as I want to walk the talk. and see what its like for myself. I'll let you know so you can smack me around a few times - ;D

I was speaking on what I had SEEN when I last saw Huntly in a teams race. this doesnt mean it didnt happen or doesnt exist now.

How long is a long time. Im sure Huntly won this last year vs Palmy
When you get your car bring it down to Meeanee as we would like some tips too lol because they beat us also.

I havent seen a teams race in a few years - mainly because i havent been to speedway in ages - even though Ive started to return and watch etc, im still having to miss the occasional night or two so Im not always seeing the best of performances of alot of racers.

All this is besides the point. I will let all know when i get my car - seems Iv ruffled the wrong feathers - a good slamming should sort me out. ;D

besides which - im taking down my posting. Obviously I didnt take into account that things change.

My first car was probably the sister car to this. I think we ran a datsun 180b or similar master cylindar as it was small, It seemed to do the job really well
