This isn't a very good quality video that I made at all, it's just a test to see if I can upload video here for the very first time.
If this works - look out !!! haha GO SLIDEWAYS T.V. is born! haha ;D
Jack gives a lesson in how to get a good start in the final race for the North Island Superstock Champs at Robertson Holden International Speedway, Palmerston North.
PS: Peter Rees is just a legend, that's all, just a legend.

theres a little button in the add tags section - click that then put the link in between the brackets - its the little red one that says "tube".
when you click it should bring up this - {ive added spaces so you can see it} [youtube ] [ /youtube]
+ [youtube ] put link in here [ /youtube]
=
make sure theres no spaces befor and after the link though - other wise it wont work for some reason.

Thanks for the advice Rhodesta, this is test #2, I am a complete video novice so hopefully the clips will only get better. I'll take my little camera to Harrisville on Saturday and try and get an overview for those who can't make it.
Test #2 taken on the way to NZ Ministock champs;

This is a short clip of Solly's first drive in his new Stockcar, ex-98N. Put a clean spin on 53H.
This is when we went to Meeanee to support the Pumas, 198P seem's to be a good handling car.
Solly's not allowed to race 198P again till January 2012 because he's not old enough, even though he's raced and won heaps of ministock races. I would have thought experience would have counted not just a number.

2011 NZ Under 23 Champs. Jayden Ward 971P was a bit unlucky, blew the clutch up on a restart when he was miles in front in the first heat. Some good pitmanship, and a generous loan of a new clutch from Jordan Dare, saw the gearbox out & new cluctch in and back out for the consolation race. Jayden started last and finished 3rd, tank tapping on the way haha. Not a very good video, but I'll get better. Thanks Naki's Pride & Joy Auto's and BombsAway. image uploading

Katrina Meikle kindly loaned her 58D Otaga Metals Saloon to BombsAway boss James Berryman to race on the 2nd night of the NZ Saloon Champs meeting at Te Marua. Thanks heaps Katrina, he's motivated again now. haha ;D image hostKatrina's car took a bit of a knock, here's a short clip showing how the body got a bit munted. James went pretty good too, me and Jumbo had a good night. This is the evening that I first met Morph.. image uploader

A couple of short clips from some of the 28K crew. Daniel, Glen, Pete and Conner preparing the car for the 2011 Superstock Teams Champs. 8 & a half thousand revs of instant CSL Ford power, a very mean machine. The Kings were going really good against the Tigers right up until we got 2 of our cars kicked off for bugger all. image hostingThe Panthers won. post image wordpressBryn and Quiten and Pete spent several days getting the clutch and gearbox sorted for the North Island Superstock Champs. 28K qualified for the finals. This clip just shows how good the car looked and acknowledges some of Mittys sponsors. Thank you all. image hosting service

In the video of Mitty's 8,500 instant revs, who's is the new chassis sitting in the corner?? That's Peter Locke's project that he works on now & then, when he feels like it, and as time & money allow. It's a Standard Stock with a unique figure 8 tubeular chassis design and will be powered by a Wade Henshaw built V8. Hopefully Pete's knee injury that he got at the North Island Superstock Champs meeting heals good enough for us all to see him in it & smashing a Palmy tank some day soon.

Oh yeah thats the car that Brian Bowater started years ago, i wondered weather Mr Locke would ever get it going, what sort of Henshaw engine is getting?

A GM V8, a grunty one. It's a bit of a long term project, but I'm sure it'll get done. Good things usually take time.

The motor;
"...is ex-Mike Pero NZV8 Touring Car engine de-stroked to 248 cubic inches and producing around 400 horsepower in Standard Stock form."
;D sweet, sounds like it'll be a tank load of fun. ;D

Following on from my previous post, and to add balance, here's some pic's I took at the Peter Rees World Championship fund-raiser meeting at Harrisville last month, and a couple from the ENZED Teams Champs, Auckland Teams Champs and the North Island Superstock Champs. Pete was on the winning team at all of them.
Ya'll probably have seen most of these pic's before but it's the very first time I've used this particular program for sharing them here and around the world. I know FWJ has a look on here from time to time, haha.
So, turn on the sound and put the picture display on full screen and let me know what you think. I intend making a few more slideshow things like this; Palmy Teams, NZ Under 23 Stockcar Champs, Huntly Stockcar Teams etc.
Good Luck at the World Champs Peter Rees
PS: Wish I was going to UK too. My brother Matt played profesional rugby in Rotterdam about 10 years ago. Good fella's ex-Feilding Old Boys - Aaron "Crusty" Rolls, Noopera Stewart and Regan Bright are still there OTP. I'm sure they'd welcome any Kiwi's that are going over there and show them a good time. ;D

They had beautiful naked women on either side, but there's bound to be a PC objection to that sort of art these days. It'll look cool anyway. image uploaderI'd be very interested in seeing any pictures of the Far Canal motorcycle's that I saw race at the cemetary circuit in Wanganui 30 odd years ago. I searched the net and only found this text: "Back in the 70s there was the notorious Far Canal motorcycle team, who travelled New Zealand during the summer racing season in an extremely party-friendly ex NZ Road Services Bedford bus. Women passengers welcomed. "

Also on my "to do" list is making a video-music-picture slideshow thing featuring grunty Fords I have known, or know of. Super Saloon's, Stockcars and Superstocks, and just plain cool one's. This pic is of our mate from Christchurch leading the charge in his 160 miles per hour GT Falcon at Ruapuna. Photo taken back in the 1980's when Cold Chisel was playing on the tape deck. Dave's still got the car, and it's mint and grunty as ever - the GT Falcon's came standard from the factory with locking diffs, great for slideways action.. haha. I drew a picture of Dave's car which I am honoured to say that he has hanging in his garage. I drew another picture of a tyre shredding Palmy GT Falcon which I am honoured to say is hanging in my mates lounge. Now all I've got to do is convince him to get it out of storage and smoke 'em up for my video... haha ;D To be continued.. image uploadingPS: Another mate of BombsAway has a number of incredible ultra-cool high performance Fords in his collection. I am hopeful that I'll be able to include some of his magnificent cars in action on the video too. Although it's no Ford, one of his projects is just so very very cool, rare, and powerful, that I'd like to include that one too. I'm sure Peter Rees will like this Mopar 440 six pack grunt machine. Our mate is very private and protective of his hard earned machinery, so please don't comment or ask questions at this stage. post image wordpressTo be continued...
