Yeah... I've got literally hundreds of Steelers pic's, it's been a good buzz looking back through them tonight. This one is my desktop background picture at the moment. hosting images image host image hosting serviceEven got a few pics in the pits of Sparky the motivational manager giving Wardy the bash at half time, whilst whispering in his ear: "Harden up Mister G.W... ...and cook me some eggs." hosting images

I learned last time I went BombsAway derby racing in the 450 V8 Mercedes Benz that failure to prepare was really being prepared to fail. So even though the Merc still runs, I'm starting early this time and keeping an eye out for derby prospects that can take on those Ward Super Snipes. I want to make a bit of a video before all the real steel heavy metal cars are gone forever, but it'll take a wee while. It's amazing what's out there if you keep your eye's open and approach people with respect. I came across this cool 2 owner, 2 ton, straight 8 Snipe killer today. Love the 1939 badges.. image uploadingTeam BombsAway Dodgey Brothers Derby Racing has got a good ring to it.. haha ;D adult image hosting

I took this picture today, just playing round with different effects on my newly-found movie maker program tonight. This is a Sepia colour tone of the 1939 Dodge, hope it sort of suits the era. adult image hosting

Our mate Henry got delivery of his new Samson Computerised Plasma Cutter this week and we had a play with it today. A bloody amazing piece of technology, endless possibilities, steel flames on the side-rails, sponsors names cut out of bonnets, custom motorcycles etc. hosting imagesWelcome to Harrisville sign came out cool, accurate wheels spacers, lots of things to create.. True ~ I ended the day cruising in a ute with a head that said; "gee wiz... must be a big funeral on." I said "no no dumb-arse, it's just getting dark, that's why the cars have their lights on." To which he replied "..oh, that explains all the mourners coming out from all the side streets, I just thought he must've been popular."

I've finished the Ashburton Speedway World Cup of Stockcar Rugby poster. Ashburton are hosting the Romanian National Rugby Team during the World Cup and the event is timed to coincide with their stay. The Romanian colours are red, yellow and blue (I hope). The poster looks better than these pics now that it's finished. I made various black and white outline copies along the way for free kids handout colouring in pictures. Metalica. GO SLIDEWAYS TV

Here's Part 1 of the Manawatu Steelers clip, Part 2 will morph to include the Pumas as well since a number of Steelers got the big call up.
It was a fantastic teams racing year for those of us with ties to Palmy;
Manawatu Steelers ~ Huntly Stockcar Teams Champions
Palmerston North Pumas ~ NZ Stockcar Teams Champions
Palmerston North Pumas ~ Peter Barry Memorial Teams Champions
Palmerston North Pumas ~ Palmy Teams Invasion Champions
Palmerston North Panthers ~ ENZED Superstock Teams Champions
Palmerston North Panthers ~ Auckland Nationals Teams Champions
plus, I couldn't make it there, but I believe the Steelers also destroyed the Stormers in a one-off event at Stratford.
Outstanding acheivements by all drivers, crew, managers, sponsors and all the dedicated supporters.
This clip is just the beginning of the list above, Steelers victorious at Huntly.
* Opening Team blessing, Ezeikiel 25/17 read by Samuel L Jackson
* ZZ Top vs Orbittor ~ Sharp Dressed Man vs Run Around Girl
* Boston ~ More Than A Feeling
a little bit of Cold Chisel to close, cause they're opening at Palmy next.
It's been about 40 days and 40 nights since I built this ark called GO SLIDEWAYS TV, there's been well over 4,000 views but only a couple of comments.. ...you are allowed to post comments, critism or requests on here ya know, otherwise I'll just keep doing whatever I want.
My aim is to have some decent video/pics/interviews/action/interesting stuff etc. on here for you to watch at 7.30 every Sunday night. I'm very privilaged to have access to heaps of good people and material.
The quality will get better, I need a new camera, but I'm currently unfinancial.
Always put the sound on (Loud) and set view on full screen.

Haha, I'm glad you liked it Chris, it was good to meet and talk with you in person at Huntly. I've got a lot of "projects" on the go at the moment, including one that I am very privlaged to be able to share with you all. One of my friends has a mind boggling high performance car collection and he has very generously agreed to allow Go Slideways TV to document the build and rebuild of some of his very very cool cars... Yesterday we went on a (safe) mini gumball rally from Palmy to Isaac Ford Performance Vehicles in Taupo to deliver the new motor which is going into the 5 speed manual 2003 Mach 1 Mustang (Special Limited Edition 30th Anniversary Revival model). The car already runs an aftermarket Kenne Bell supercharger and puts out over 500 horsepower, but you can never get too much of a good thing... The brand new motor is direct from Carroll Shelby workshops USA and is an all alloy block & heads 280 cubic inch Aluminator 4V, which is based on the Le Mans winning GT40's raced by Kiwi's Chris Amon (from Feilding), Denny Hulme and Bruce MacLaren. It's got forged crank, rods, pistons and other components to cope with the extra power created by the addition of a monstor Whipple supercharger. The new motor combo is expected to produce around 900 horsepower, from 280 cubic inches! I'll video the dyno when the time is right. The motor was transported to Taupo in another of my mates wicked rides - it's documented as New Zealand's most powerful road driven ute. It's a 2005 BF XR8 with 6 speed manual transmition attached to a mean Carroll Shelby 5.4 litre Super Snake with Whipple supercharger on top. Amazing. I bought up a whole lot more trick suspension gear, headers, plumbing, and an intake sensor the size of a basketball hoop, in another grunty Ford. It was a great fun day in the sun for the 3 of us thundering past the mountains and up around the lake, and no tickets haha. Valentines rule. I'll upload video and stills of Chapter 1 of many this week. Ya'll be happy I'm sure. ;D ;D ;D hosting images wordpress image hosting

Thank you for your kind words, and a very big thank's to XCars Palmerston North for supporting my humble efforts to grow our sport through Go Slideways TV too. I really do have many good fun projects on-the-go at the moment, but I will finish movie Chapter 1 (of many) of my mates mega horsepower vehicles on Saturday night after I get back from Wellington. This is what the Whipple Supercharged Shelby Super Snake power plant looks like under the hood of New Zealands most powerful road driven ute. It's quite drivable when you just potter around, but chop down from 6th to 3rd and floor it on the open road at 100k, and look out! There's no lag, or delay while the Supercharger winds up, just instant whir that sort of shrieks in symphony with the exhaust bark and tyre smoke. It's mean as mean whiplash. png uploadThis is the 500+ hp motor which is coming out of the Mustang. The car it's going into is a whole new story, Chapter 7 probably. image hostThere's nothing wrong with the Kenne Bell Supercharger system, but the new Whipple one that's going on top of the brand new Carroll Shelby Eluminator motor is a bloody monstor. I've been thinking about what music should accompany the stills and video images I have from Monday, so today I went and bought the ZZ Top Eliminator CD ( again), Supercharged = Got Me Under Pressure. haha ;D upload pngpng

I've finished the little clip of our trip to Paul Isaac's workshop and once it's been approved I'll post it right here, for Saturday night probably. I've been around several neat Mustangs lately, and we've got another one coming in a week or so - these cars have reminded me of a time in my life 34 years ago when I was 13 and hung out with one of my best mates for life, Leigh Martin, at his Dad Mike's garage in Feilding called "Auto and Marine." Before the garage burnt down there was a big glass showroom out the front which was usually full of boats, however one day while we were wagging school we were awe-struck by the arrival of the coolest car either of us had ever seen. It sat there on display for about a month or so and I was lucky enough to go for a short ride around the block in it. I've never forgotten it. It was called a Cobra Jet Mustang and it looked a bit like this, except it was a bit lower and way cooler. I'd love to see and hear that red car again one day. adult image hosting

I spotted this cool car outside our local dairy today, after visiting my mate Henry to have a talk about a far-out idea I have in mind for the new plazma cutter, in conjunction with the roller-bender. ;D Contest time ~ if anybody can tell me the make, model, year of manufacture and engine capacity I'll post a short clip of it in motion. Not a burn out video, just poetry in motion. png upload adult image hosting
