I'll post some pictures from last season and from this week tomorrow night. Scotty11W will like this... In the mean time here's a story that I found really inspirational, so inspiring that I'm giving it a go too (sort of). "Craigslist" is a USA based website sort of like Trade Me and Ebay but, in my view, better. I'm not sure if my car will end up hooning around either Baypark Speedway, Targa NZ, Taranaki Tarmac, Manfeild, Omokoroa Beach or all of the above. Time will tell. Don't say "yeah, but..." cause I'll just walk away. ;D jalopnik.com/5497042/how-a-500-craigslist-car-beat-400k-rally-racersBill Caswell $500 World Rally Championship BMW image hostingScored the OLDEST FALCON IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD today image hostingha ha ha ha ha ha, not really, it's not that old, ha ha, it's not a Falcon either. ha

now thats the spirit, wicked stuff,i smiled the whole time i was reading that. cheers slideways you made my day ;D Sweet mate, glad it brought you a smile. Made me smile too... and Bill spent $500 more than me so far too.. ha ha My personal budget = $0 but I have a lot of support for which I am very grateful - especially thanks to XCars Vehicle and Asset Sales.co.nz, and GIANT OIL NZ Ltd. I'll post a bit of an update on my Jim Richards BMW tribute project from time to time, the very big event this week was it leaving the yard semi-intact and coming into town. Most of our cars usually leave in pieces or as a squashed hunk of steel about the size of your letterbox. haha ..so it's a bit special. It doesn't look much right now, but it will look & perform ok when it's done. I could build it in a week, but I don't have to, so I'm not going to, but I do want to video a little burn-out start the motor up on Sunday. png upload

I feel a funny drawing coming up, lately I've been told "real men" = wear bow-ties, smoke rubber, run superchargers and believe it's Mopar or no car.. ...anything else do "real men" do or don't do?

I congratulate all the winners at this years SPANZ Pro Parts New Zealand Speedway Awards. I also congratulate my local Superstock team on what they have achieved together this year, and in recent years. I was talking with Wayne Hemi at Auckland after the Panthers won the Auckland Teams Champs, and when Shane Penn drove his last race for the Panthers, we both agreed that maybe in not so many years time people will look back and say that these were very special times. Wayne didn't disagree when I suggested that, in my view, Palmerston North hasn't had a true legend for about 20 years, not since Dave Evans, and that the current Panthers team are worthy of the title too. Special times alright. I will try and post a whole lot more of my amateur pictures from Palmy Superstock Teams Champs on Sunday. Thanks Shane Penn image uploadCaptain race winner Sctotty Miers with a crook leg wordpress image hostingGood luck in England Peter Rees. upload gifGood luck in Huntly Peter Bengston. wordpress image hostingWayne Hemi is still The Masta Blasta. upload pngpngTeam Panthers hosting imagesMuch more to come of everybody, still deciding on the music... "Superstar" and "I like the way you move" maybe..

PS: I checked out the winning images from Photographer Of The Year, Graham Hughes on his Sportsweb Photography website via facebook. One of the images that Graham captured was of a premonition I had of art becoming reality. I drew this picture one night at Mitty's house before the Teams Champs of 28K pulling a big wheelstand - if you check out Sportsweb Photography facebook website you'll see how accurate this prediction turned out to be. upload gifI've got another prediction too..

I'll try and finish drawing it this week, it came to me so clearly and it is so profound that I think it must be from the future. It's hard to draw smells and sounds, but I'll do my best. ;D

There is a lot of work that goes into getting any car race ready, but there is a particularly lot of effort that goes into getting a Superstock Team car ready for the big one. Bryn and Quinten became experts at clutch and gearbox installation, extraction and re-installation.. under the guidance of Crew Chief Peter Locke gif uploadI'll try my hardest to publish my movie project Tuesday, sorry about the delay, lot's of projects, not enough time. Zane's friendly mates came back all the way from England again. cool. image uploadWhen I played rugby and the ref made a bad call that went against us I was usually the first to say, "we'll just cop it on the chin, and come back harder," since those days I still usually do, ...however, when Kevin Roberts got kicked off against the Tigers, for something very minor and unintentional, that was a bad call. to have a 2nd Kings car kicked off at the same time, just for having a wiggley wheel, well, that just left me gob-smacked. I really felt for Kevin Roberts after all he had done to help the Kings out. gif uploadThe wonderful thing in our sport is that what goes around comes around, fast. image host

I can't think of an appropriate caption for this one, but surely it must be worthy of one of biblical proportions.. Any further suggestions? like; "Yeah tho I walk through the valley of Darkness, I fear no evil, for my hot rod shall comfort me, and what's more, my pit crew wears Prada." png uploadLike. image hosting
