So far team has battled, with some damage to a few cars, so we are working frantically to get things sorted for Nelson this weekend. We will be there with 5 cars come hell or high water - which we have had a lot of if you have seen the news haha
So far Drivers with hands up are
Tony Oliver Jason Tasker Brian Hahn Chris Baxter Clevo Kokshorn Hadleigh Smith Towbar Dave Terris
Lets just see how we get on with repairs this week. Thanks to the supporters who are putting the hard yards in this week to get cars sorted.
WE are rustling up some bodys at the moment from the remains of last years, so we will hopefully look a little together for this event.
There are options on the table for the graphics, so working through that too - fingers crossed. Thanks again to Jacob for the awesome designs - we will have the new logo on flags for this weekend for flying off the back of the cars.
Looking foward to it - those with the hands up are pumped.

Should be a handy team Obby, Will really give the Thunder boys the hurry up. Good luck with organising the bodies and the graphics for the team its a big job but one that has to be done. As a past team manager I know the headaches that go with it all. I am staying in the country just a bit longer to see this race on the weekend. It will be a good gauge as to see where both teams are at.

Thanks Wog - though I think the Tasman will be more than well equiped to give us the hurray up! Have heard the Tasman Thunder for the meeting will be Justin Hearne Cody teece Dion Fisher Ben Taylor Liam Smith Craig Iles SOme good pace and some strong cars who hit hard in that team. Will be a war I think, and we all now how keen the Thunder will be to win on the home soil after the TIgers performed. Will be a great day - and we stilla re sponsorless, so anyone who might want to get on board needs to only drop me a PM and i can send out a sponsorship proposal. Thanks to all the supporters who are putting the work into the cars this week, and to those who are coming up this weekend - will be fun, and we hope to do the best we can.

Hi All,
Greymouth Grizzlies have great news and bad news. Bad news is one of the team members has sold the car, but great news is we welcome on board Towbar Dave Terris as the Manager of the team to provide some much needed support.
WE know we have some good interest in the teams racing coming up with the Thunder, so anyone interested is ivited to a meeting at 7pm at the OAS workshop this wednesday. No worries if you can't make the first won, just let us know if your still keen to have a crack at the mighty Tasmen Thunder and compete for the Suspension Developments teams trophy.
Will be a great meeting on Feb the 18th, and we look forward to hosting the nelson drivers.
See the Greymouht guys on Wendesday at 7pm at OAS workshop

Thanks to the people who turned up to the team meeting last night. Great to have more drivers putting there cars foward for teams racing, and have the support to keep going in the Grizzlies. Team for the teams race against Nelson Thunder - couple of new guys in there, so good on you guys for giving it a go. Baxter, Chris Hahn, Brian Kokshorn, Cleve Oliver, Tony Smith, Hadleigh Tasker, Jason Some talk of getting some T shirts made due to popular request - if you do want one, either reply to this thread, or contact one of the drivers and let us know. Would be good to get some numbers, as a very limited number will be made. Looking a polo shirts with the logo front back - nice enough to wear on Christmas Day, or to give a Birthday pressie haha. BIg thanks to Towbar Dave for stepping up as a team manager - think he is going to be good. He will still need a hand, particularly as a selector given more and more guys are getting keen, so anyone who wants to be involved let us know. Really looking forward to a another shot at Teams Racing - really gets the blood pumping! Good luck , and thanks for coming down to the thunder. Thanks for the commetns Cliff. was a real team effort, adn a good hard, close race with the Thunder, held in good spirits. A big thanks to Suspension Developments and John o Halloran for supplying the cup - it was a usefull vessel as intended. received an entry form for the South Island Champs last monday, and immediatly emailed back to the sender that we will unfortunatly not be able to attend the event Cliff. We have the WC Stockcar champs on that weekend, and unfortunatly at this late stage have run out of time to find another date for it. thanks to the Thunder, and the visiting Eastern States and CHCH cars that made the effort to come over and race. was good to have a 24 car feild for the day. The Grizzlies t shirts all sold out an hour before the meeting, and we are currently considering getting more printed. Please, if you want a t shirt you ca reply to this post, or PM, or email me your size, and we will try and get a specific order through. The grizzlies will have a debreif session (beers and video watching ;D ) in the next couple of weeks - manager towbar will be in touch Well done getting the team sorted Towbar, has made a big difference.

LAST MONDAY ? I can't even get a calander on the riverside website, so i'm not surprised. I believe it's Greymouths turn next year so hopefully there will be an invite out a bit sooner than 4.5 weeks out from the event. but that date ( 17th March) has been set for some time but I guess like a lot of things, if it's not written on paper it's just a rumour. Cheers, Cliff. enjoy the debrief. ;D

Awesome news Clevo - can't wait, and compulsory Grizzlies t shirts to be worn for anyone who has one!
Just had a phone call from a new Tasman Thunder manager who is keen to get things sorted, so have a couple of good dates to have for discussion.
Plus, make sure you come to the working bee first, as we provide a beer for those hardworkers - working bee starts at 10am.
Good news is we will have video footage of the last race with nelson to watch and debrief over as well!!
Sounds like a great plan for this Sunday!

Woops forgot to put an update from the last team meeting - but heres a photo from the last teams race I found on CraigB facebook page Tasman Thunder keen as mustard to hold first teams race back here in GM, as they want to get the trophy back! This is penciled in for 3rd November, so early in the season, so I hope those offseason rebuilds are going well! Great to get some good racing in early, especially when there is some great championship meetings coming up - theres no doubt teams racing improves the driving skills, just check out all the teams races with the 1, 2 and 3nzs on their doors over the years! The return match up has been scheduled for January, and is pegged in these early days as a stand alone promotion, so a big deal for these two teams to front and put on an exciting show for the Nelson crowd. Will cofirm this date once I can access nelson website (as I write this I cannot access) anyway, good luck with the rebuilds, and see you at sign in night tomorrow Wednesday 12 September at the union, or at first practice. cheers p.s a heap more photos from the last teams race here www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.301531129906308.70810.142992115760211&type=3
