Annoys me that people cant be arsed asking for permission and just flog the images, BUT

I have always said that anything you put online is ALWAYS going to be fair game for poachers thus you must be prepared for it to be abused.

Thus any images I post on the web are almost always low res, low pixel width and watermarked somehow....

R you guys for real, this is the internet if you don't want things copyed don't put them on it, or use sum form of protection i have seen bebo mainly a sight for teenagers lots of good stuff both my kids have bebo profiles very clever what they can do, grand.t, I have know idea who you are i hope you don't look at you tube most of that you would consider to be copy write, i would susgest you take this as a lesson the kids bebo sites do a lot of good for speedway your coments on these kids sights will not do any good for speedway at all.
Grand.t you can probley work out who i am rather than on a teenage chat room asking my son for me to shout you a beer how bout you ask me yourself i no what the answer will be.

rob i do know who you are and yes i do know who your son is, im pleased he asked you i knew what the answer was before asked, i was actually gonna let the whole matter slide, but it was your sons attitude that made me take the matter further, i simple email asking if he could use the images would have done the trick, im not a hard person to deal with. but i do believe in manners, a few of the guys on bebo have taken the images off and in return i have decided to let them have some free full size images to do what they want with,

i just feel that there should be a little more respect out there, is is stealing after all, im lucky because photography isn't my source of income, but just a hobby, but yet as i have explained over and over again it cost me to travel to the tracks, its costs me my camera gear.

i dont get paid travel money, but like all the drivers i do it because i enjoy it.

Thats got to make it hard for all you guys who take photos as a main income. I have alot off Mike Magyar photos on my site but the difference is that every one of this photos I add I pay for & he lets me put it on my site & is happy as long as I give him credit for taking it

Gavin talk to my son this morning and suggested he remove your photos from his bebo site but they were already gone?? never mind.
I can understand how you and your fellow picture takers must feel, but ill say again it is the internet its open to the world you have to take your own measures to protect what you publish this is why there is big business in software protection etc.

I have a good understanding of the internet as I'm the one of many that fix and get the internet to your house.

The more pictures on the net and information about our sport either paid for or not must be better than having nothing.

One more thing the kids with there bebo sites, they are not there to profit from they are just for fun.

Good point GandT. I have also noticed a lot of people using my photos on there without asking me first as well. There are a few people on there (who are on my list) who I have supplied images to, who have posted them on their bebo pages, this is fine by me, but there are also alot of others who have simply flogged them from my website without asking.

Well said!!! Completely agree with you, I am the same way. If you want to use my photos, just ask first rather than flogging them - a bit of courtesy goes a long way. I don't make a living from my photography but I don't appreciate my work being flogged without permission as the pics I publish on my website have my copyright on them.
