Rotovegas.. a short track to show off driver skill and offer a challenge to all of the drivers! ;D If Huntly was there I'd vote for that though modifieds always seem faster on that track.

My Vote Goes To Woodford Glen.
Largest Competitor List In New Zealand. Great Club. Well Presented Facilities.
If Not Woodford Glen My Next Vote Would Be Blenheim.
Cheers Johnny

to be honest i dont think rotorua would be a good track, its not that drivey and would probably produce boring racing, well thats what i saw when they were supporting the nz superstocks.i think the nz mods would be awesome at greymouth though.

I said Woodford Glen but then we only hosted it two seasons back and next season we have.
NZ Supersaloon Champs NZ Stockcar Champs and the NZ Superstock GP
So if we had the mods as-well we would be being a tad greedy wouldnt we?

Pretty sure the champs will be in Rotorua as long as they can get 3 meetings for mods in this season running 8+ cars.
First of these will be BOP Champs on Dec 28th. 13 cars confirmed already.
As long as Easter is dry this year and we get 2 days of racing in, this would be enough to meet SNZ criteria and the champs would head to Vegas for the 2012/13 season if they wanted it.
Unlikely Auckland, Christchurch, Stratty or Wellington would want it as all have/ will have had it in the recent past.
Only really leaves Huntly (likely out as no mods scheduled to run there this season at all), Blenheim and Greymouth (both these would struggle to meet the SNZ criteria as above).
This leaves Vegas as front runner. Last time it was there Foxy won so we have good memories of running NZ champs there! ;D
It is small for the mods and passing points are hard to come by but all that means is that it opens the title right up and it could be anyones. Horsepower and driver skills will not determine the result and luck will play a massive part in deciding the winner.

With both Greymouth and Blenheim having an increase in Mod numbers this season maybe the prospect of the NZs would keep the class growing at either of these tracks.
Last season at Wellington we were only getting four or five Mods, this season with the NZs, we are up to eight with more on the way.

It's pretty much Rotoruas turn, they now need to meet the SNZ criteria.
Stratford would already have it, if they had bothered to apply prior to the last conference.
Woodford Glen already has a full program of championship meetings next season.

I must admit to not liking the thought that we all should take turns at hosting the NZs. Maybe it is my warped thinking but questions like, where would the future of the class be most effectively fostered with the Championship and who has put forward a proposal that will encourage drivers to enter, are far more significant than, who's turn is it.
I'm not suggesting that Rotorua does not fit the bill, as they have a history of making a good job of hosting significant events. What I am suggesting is the defunct rotation system be removed from our thinking.

I personally think it should go to either Greymouth or Blenheim.
Both tracks are on the up modified number wise and it would boost the numbers at both tracks.

I can't help feeling that Waikaraka Park is the best track for mods, though I live in Rotovegas and would like to see the nz camps run here. So I have voted for Rotorua.

Rotorua too small, not ideal for Modifieds IMP....Why has this not been contested At Vegas before?

Rotorua too small, not ideal for Modifieds IMP....Why has this not been contested At Vegas before? the nz mods actually have been contested at rotorua 5 times, the most recent being the 2002/2003 champs when jamie fox managed to pick himself up a nz title
