Heh there speedway people Right the Lady in Pink has given me one final task as her Race Manager so I must (for once) obey As you may or may not know (although its been pretty widely publicised) Jo Giles, former Lady in Pink Production Driver from Woodford Glen is running for Mayor of Christchurch in the upcoming October elections. As with any political escapade the claws are out and some upfront support of one of our own is required. TV personality Mike Yardley is doing an email popularity pole of the Christchurch Mayoral candidates so anyone with a few spare mo's who feels like showing their support of a great speedway embassador, who is striving to improve the city of Christchurch for all of its residents and the thousands of visitors (incl so many members of the NZ speedway fraternity) simply needs to send a quick email stating: JO GILES FOR MAYOR to mikeyardley@xtra.co.nz Right final task done ;D Thanks in advance to anyone who shows their support of Jo it is very much appreciated!!! Now off to find a new driver to stalk oops I mean help lol

Yup, it was truly a pleasure to crew for Jo, she's a very good competitor and a great character always willing to talk to anyone from the youngest fan having a look around the pits to die hard glen supporters on their deck chairs week in week out.
Not sure I'll ever have another driver I have to wait for their fingernail polish to dry before they put on their gloves but heh just another small thing that makes Jo a true character of the Glen.
For reasons of her own Jo has decided to hang up her keys to the pink machine (which is for sale by the way lol) but a wee spy tells me that those in the Rally speedway arena have not seen the last of Ms Giles................... has always been and will always be a very vocal and passionate supporter of speedway in NZ and its members.
