Awesome for Joe 1NZ , And well done Ken Hunter for sneaking in at 4th place. Rebels cars were stuck into it smashing anything with a P on it . Big hit by Steiny on Faram , Smokin Joe very lucky to get out of that one .
So close to seeing a couple of Rotorua cars on the podium.

Awesome result for Joe and well deserved... must say though - quite blown away by all the negative comments directed at those who race with a P on the side of their cars. Would somebody please shed light on this?? These are the guys that week in and week out battle hard for both themselves and the fans at not only Palmy track - biut everywhere else in the country. I would say that both the Worlds and the NZ's would have been pretty average meetings without the palmy guys there.
So they have won a few titles and do so consistently - is that a stockcar crime? or does that mean they are good racers? As always I will be backing Wanganui at the Teams Champs - but if the Palmy boys win, I wont be crying about it.
Kerry - what an effort and well deserved 2nz. Awesome effort from the crew Joel G, Gavin Lucas etc too of course.

for me and the whole smash the p thing, i say it because it's a love hate relationship haha i respect EVERY SINGLE DRIVER that goes out there and entertains me week in week out, just want to see other tracks win events eg HB, R, H!!!!!, K AND A, and im sure all the palmy supporters love it when their drivers smash other tracks. One of the drivers i respect the most are Peter Rees, that man 4x NZ Stockcar champ alone is impressive enough let alone his other titles. I will say it again, I RESPECT ALL DRIVERS that race, but i will continue to belt out "SMASH THE P!!!!" especially this weekend GO WAIKATO, NELSON AND VEGAS!!! Cheers Jordon Smith

I am often heard saying "smash the P" because P are usually the ones in the lead.
Ive got the utmost respect for every driver but I will ALWAYS cheer for the underdog.
In saying that I'm bloody gutted that Shane didn't get the 1 NZ.

Too all the haters of the" smash the "P" " writers, just remember that for every one of them, there are most likely 10 who hold any and all drivers(p or otherwise) with the utmost regard.

Why moan about guys not helping teammates, look at KK 2 years ago final heat, cars getting taken out left right and centre, and the guys who may not have been in contention suddenly were a chance, It could quite easily have happened again. And if all P cars helped each other, then who decides which P car wins?

I think he got some help from Boote, thats all I really noticed because when Bengston was slowing him down Boote got Bengston off him.
That was a mouthful.
