I'm not 100% sure, but I believe there were plans to have Sprintcars racing, I know there was some talk from drivers about comign to Palmy after the New Zealand Champs in Ruapuna on the 3rd and 4th, but I don't know if anything came of that. There will probably also be Ministocks running, if pnspeed doesn't post anything, I'll check with Puk tomorrow.

I hope they dont run sidecars. no offence to the guys but the track isnt a good surface after the supers tear it up. Ive seen too many swingers get hurt on teams champs weekend and i cringe everytime they go onto the track. sprintcars would be excellent but bring goggles for the dust I do.

There was a bit of talk about inviting the Modifieds back as finals night support class. Don't know if anything came from it though.

And the dust is why Sprintcars are not a good choice for this meeting full of stockcar people that generally aren't interested in them anyway. I can recall sidecars putting on some good shows at teams time though, usually get themselves on and off quickly and don't kill the track. Them and stockcars would be my choice.

I agree mr macgor id just rather not see another competitor get injured due to a surface that isn't right for their class. Palmy does a excellent job of preparing the track and I'm not knocking them for it but i hate seeing the bikes hit the ruts or bumps and then to have a swinger go flying and get injured

It's a contact racing weekend, so my preference would be for contact classes only.

They're the only racing class I've seen this year where someone won a race crossing the finish line upside down!
