Hey there, I've bought tickets to attend the 2012 ENZED Superstock Teams Champs and was just wondering what the rules were surrounding the use of air horns? We have two air horn assemblies which we would like to bring along to the champs with which to use and show our support for the mighty Wellington Wildcats but we are not sure if they will be allowed in to the Arena? Both of the assemblies are standard air horns which we have brought into the Arena on previous occasions but this year we have attached a small air compressor out of a car to power them and a small car battery which powers the compressor. This is what we are not sure about, as we do not know the regulations (if any) that surround the use of such items to power the air horns as opposed to the standard hand held gas canisters that come with the horns that can be bought from Repco etc.
Any feedback would be much appreciated and if we aren't able to use the battery assembly we will happily source other method of powering the horns.
Thank you in advance, see you all in a few days.
Cheers, Robbie!

However, those rules usually aren't enforced unless someone is being a dick with them.

Seeing as your asking the question I think its safe to assume your a reasonable person and wont use it in a way that would hurt anyone (hearing etc) so I doubt there would be an issue. I think cow bells and air horns are fine when theyre used properly.

I emailed the PN Speedway info address earlier this evening and he replied a few hours later.
A very prompt reply, so I'm very happy with that.

Rules with airhorns .. Use them sensibly [ not blast them in peoples ears ] or be prepared for a trip to the local hospital to have them surgically removed from your posteria. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I notice that there has been some discussion regarding Air Horns into the facility. These do add to the occasion, however I recommend that only the canisters be permitted as anything larger does become a health and safety issue. Security advised.
The above memo was sent to me by the Arena management so it looks like the weed sprayer might need to go back into the garden shed.
It is important that you don't annoy the people around you. Perhaps we need an air horn zone ;D
