Wuth a new car underway for next season , the question is how much hp can you get out of a 3.9 rover v8. Am not too worried about the expense .Currently running 1997 discovery engine [injected heads] virtually standard except being balanced and having cam done . Quite a tourqey engine on small tracks but runs out of legs on the larger ones. Any help or info would be much appreciated .I know Rodney Smythe and the ex Mark Powell cars run rovers and are well on the pace . p.s we are talking stockcar.

Anyway I'd hope the V6 would keep trucking along, after all it only did 6 meetings

You shouldn't have any problems Tank, this has been the 5th season I have had running Rovers and the first time I've ever had to pull one mid season, we would normally do 2 seasons before a freshen up is needed. All depends how many meetings you do and how hot it gets.

Rinso was certainly hummin at Easter in HB at the weekend. Mind you, there was a but of smoke coming from the car when he put it on the trailer at the end of the meeting - actually, maybe that was from the tyres old hoons never die aye. certainly was one of the fastest things in the Bay in the weekend, tho it has to be said they arn;t really reknowned for the flag racers - more like there car breakers. No wonder rinso fit in!

Depending on races, was hoping for three years Jas.
Totally agree Porry.
Mr O, started stripping car and off to sandblaster next week. No room for the auto so will put HQ in.
Both in shed, side by side rebuilds.
Should learn to use the camera.
