How long before the meet is called? Surely even if it stopped raining today, the track couldn't be prepped in time? I remember Willy calling one mid week last year because of this. What's your view, espeacially if from the Bay. Not knocking, it's just the dam weather.

the heavy rain that has been forecast hasn't turned up yet the track has good drainage and the pits have good runoff so not yet ;D ;D ;D

We dam the track if they do it too early and it ends up fine. We dam the track if its too late and we don't have time to make alternative plans. That means your question is impossible to answer as no matter what - the track can't win either way.

Well we have canceled our accommodation just in case. didn't want to get stuck with the 48 hr cancellation rule. Will take the chance with accommodation if it goes ahead. Never an easy call and will never please everyone. lets just keep everything crossed that they get the weather forecast wrong

Just spoke to mum on the phone who live 5 mins from track she said the had light drizzle for last few days but lots of wind that's drying everything out well.
By all accounts I think this meeting just might go ahead, hears hoping anyway coz we leaving at 5am Friday morning

Every day the forecast for Rotorua softens and so far we have had none of the threatened wet stuff. Looking at satellite animations I hopeful all the planned meetings will happen.

Well have been speaking to someone in the no and we aren't meant to get any more rain apart from 1mm between 1.00 - 5.00 in the morning so fingers crossed we all go. The track is fine and the car park is the only concern as there a bit of water on it but the pumps will be used if needed. As i here more i will keep ya all up to date. See ya tomorrow Oh hey Kaspa69 you going to miss a awesome meeting

Not sure how many of us will take the risk in the travel south ... With the recent weather we've been having and the condition of the roads in and out ... Please check out at maps.aa.co.nz/traffic/roadwatch before you travel ... If you do travel PLEASE TAKE CARE ...
