Just wondering what drivers and spectators want or expect.

Neither ... track that is consistent from the pole line to the wall, and all the way around, enabling all the track to be used with no surprises, A track material that has retained a reasonable moisture level to give maximum drive and minimum dust.

Thanks for the comment Murray, it would be great to watch racing on a track like that all the time. The 2nd and 4th option were meant to represent reasonably what you have said. Considering the amount of racing that goes on on a track in a night, it must be difficult to maintain a consistant track for the whole night. The poll has had 500 views with 15 votes all up. I would of hoped there would be a few more than that. So far we have ; 3 drivers that want a dry dusty track 3 drivers that want a wet track with minimal dust, and 9 spectators that want a wet track with minimal dust 0 spectators that want a dry dusty trackAll the spectators that have voted, don't seem to want dust, I kind of thought it would be the case. Is it really that difficult to keep dust down throughout the night on a track. The track I attend don't have a problem keeping dust down, with what dust there is at any time you can still watch the racing. I often wonder if this is one of the reasons people stop attending.

I'm surprised there are over 900 views on this and there are only 29 votes total. 25 are ok with a bit of dust only 1 spectator so far ok with dust and 3 drivers.

I voted no dust, nothing worse then not being able to see the track due to dust.

Worst thing about a dust track, (apart from the dust getting in your eyes) is when you get to the business end of the event, usually at night, you can't see jack of the track or the racing until the dust settles......and with Sprints or Moddy's that's AFTER all the good bits of the racing have finished!!! (unless someone does a doughnut!)

Just because I'm a midget fan, I like tracks with an 8 inch ribbon of dirt on the pole line and an 8 inch tall kerb right on the fence, and rubber in the middle. Slide jobs and dog fighting for every spot, you'll never witness better racing anywhere.
