Gary Ellis had a Ford powered one few years ago, and I think it then went to Ryan Johnson at Kihikihi. Not too sure about any other details

There is on trademe at the moment that looks the business and might even be the Ellis one mentioned earlier, just with a better engine.
I think the end of the 6 was when people realised they could build a Toyota v8 for the same price that was possibly more reliable, more room for development, and sound awesome at higher revs at about the same price
Clive Pritchard had pretty decent up out of ba falcon but I never got to see that race in the flesh but apparently it was pretty sharp. A shame it wasn't pursued with

Here's a couple currently running in Nelson 6 is Dave Hewitt's Ben Taylor-driven Holden while 22 is the Paul Jones Ford, which has a huge amount of history behind it.

Nice shot Totty, and if anywhere has been a kind home to the mighty 6 Nelson certainly has been! I was under the impression the Paul Jones was a brand spanker last season - a copy of the one that had all the history Always happy to be corrected! And Rhodesta, the falcon 6 superstock on trademe at the moment looks like great buying, and would be alot of fun.

Clive Elliott's 95P Heyburn T-Mac has a Holden Ecotec quad cam V6 in it - seems to go pretty well!

well I still have the BA six in my garage, waiting for something to be done with it - what rules surround the intake though? Is there anything I should be aware of before I start making plans?
i.e: can I fabricate a whole new intake for a four barrel carb?
Im currently looking at getting a stock car rolling chassis and simply dropping in the engine for now - will slowly swap the tyres over to hoosiers and later on as money allows I'll upgrade the diff.
The car Im looking at has a good history and is still darn strong.

Nope, not sure at all - thought I heard someone say they were DOHC 24V heads once, but not a Holden fan, so wouldn't argue the point! Now I know that the VR4's I've had were V6 DOHC 24V - and my BMW's are straight 6 DOHC 24V, as is my Ford Falcon FG (but I wouldn't rate that as good as the Mitsi or the BMW 6's though). So surprised that the ECOTEC V6's aren't? Next you'll tell me they still have pushrods like the old Buicks?!

Just looked it up - also they are made by buick anyway so I wouldnt hold too much hope for the pushrods bit!!

Excellent point Chris13w, also the 66b with a chev v6 and the other Gordge v6 of Geoff James are also very quick forgot about those bad boys This Nissan v6 Hartley built for the Meechans was also a rocket apparently
