Sometimes the Discussion Board amazes me Why would the Heading for this topic be... "Rees Love/Hate Him hes a legend !!!!!!!" I cannot understand why anyone would even start a heading like that. How can anyone HATE.... a racer !!!! To all you keyboard racers..... Go and try racing a stockcar yourself let alone Teams Race !!!!! See how much dedication, Time, Effort and Money it takes.... You will all see when MR REES Retires... Just how much this guy has done for the Sport both on and off the Track....His feats will now NEVER BE BEATEN There are MANY MANY drivers who wouldnt have got to the heights they have without him to race with... and against......as well as the multiple drivers and cars he's been involved with Im just priviliged to be Alive during his era... stunning I take my hat of to ALL Drivers !!!!!!! Not just Mr REES You are All Legends !! HATE.................. NO!!! Cheers Wiseowl It's the Kiwi way to "hate" people that are too good......Hoot Hoot!!

Good New Year to you Gordon ....You know better than that... I t was luck years ago I thought.... Now I know its not luck !!!! Cheers Wiseowl I meant it to mean ' Has some incredible luck riding on his shoulder sometimes too.' Thinking of the wall ride/drive that could have easily turned out differently and the time he was trapped and two other battling cars accidentally piled in and set him free. I'm not detracting from his ability at all , I was well impressed this weekend.

That wall ride was a bit hair-raising, and he was lucky ( in this case) that he didnt roll himself, and as for him been held up in turn 3 in the final, it was just in front of us, and he was letting the titan do all the work to try and get free

I'm not detracting from his ability at all , I was well impressed this weekend. The great South African golfer Gary Player was once told by a fan "You were lucky out there today Mr Player". Player thanked the fan, then added "And you know what? The harder I work, the luckier I get.". There would be few speedway competitors who live, breathe and work at speedway as hard as Peter Rees does. That might just be one of the clues to his extraordinary level of success.

I think that the Tank may have aided his luck a little bit too with that wall ride. I noticed that alot of the tanks seemed to have a lower centre of gravity and could get almost vertical and drive out of it. I would be interested to know what Pete's reasons are for staying with the Tank and if that is one of the reasons.

He's not getting any younger, and tanks absorb a lot more force from hits than what a spaceframe does. Smart move if you want to prolong your racing time. That's the main reason.

IT IS LUCK, Its lucky for palmy that Pete lives Here. He is a race winner, Racing for the flag, being cannon fodder, (the final the other team tried to get him, and the boys were Left alone to tick up laps), blocking the other team or finding himself a lap or two down and having your fly-er roll in front of you and then to switch into... stop me if you can mode. Pete thank you.... Bloody Legend.
