i agree there were a few harsh decisions and they could of been the winning or losing for a team

The race Pazza was talking about didn't have any harsh decisions, just no decisions. That race was definitely a low point with the Ellot turning around under reds being rewarded rather than punished & the crowd certainly showed what they thought of it at the time

Yes it did seem that there rule book was bent way out of shape on saturday night. Putting cars in positions under reds. passing over the pole line, not rejioning properly, attacking off the grass etc etc. And as for the facing the wrong way to see the red lights how do the side cars know when the lights are on when they race the wrong way or how about the red flags in the middle. cant blame sunlight on that. Perhaps a low point over a weekend of great hard teams racing

i counted at least a dozen grass cuts over the 2 nights and not one of them got picked up pretty shocking overall for the officials in my opinion

Whether any action was taken over those incidents is not something I can comment on.

Question. Is the anger within this thread being directed correctly. The person in the offending car was clearly taking advantage of a situation that was allowed to happen by officials. We'd all like to think were good sports and rule followers but sometimes, just sometimes when you really want to win and in the heat of the moment you see a possibility and take it. Yeah the driver should cop a tiny bit of flack but yet another black mark against officials. And for anyone who trots out the "they're volunteers" excuse yes they are but don't volunteer unless your willing to hold everyone to a very certain and exact standard or don't bother. A bit of a harsh comment? Quite likely but a true one I think also.

Palmy rulebook. Now thats a pretty low. Yes in previous ecent this could be true, but over the weekend the palmy team did nothing that helped them any more than any other team. If palmy cheat would they not be 1 2 3nz in all classes. well there not so why cant we just enjoy some hard ass racing and leave the cheating comments out unless someone actually cheats ay?

my biggest concern was the number of parked cars getting hit on purpose and cars getting pushed into parked cars also on purpose its one of the biggest safety rules there is but nothing done about it

Rulebook - from SNZ in Wellington Referee - from Rotorua, with an assistant from Kihikihi
Give it up people; the anti-Palmy hysteria is so 2009. The Pumas were far and away the best team on the weekend, and although the referees may have made some mistakes, they're only human when all is said and done.
Could any of the keyboard warriors here do any better in the heat of the moment? Somehow, I doubt it.
