Should be a top notch field of Modifieds. The South Island drivers are staying up and the top Stratford drivers will join Wellingtons best. Not sure about Foxy had heard both he is, he isn't but nothing first hand.

I believe that the field is full. Not sure of all the guys attending but I can tell you 11a is already in Palmy (dropped off there after Wgtn at the weekend). At a guess I would say field will likely be as follows: 1nz, 3nz, 4w, 5w, 8w, 9w, 11a, 12s, 13c, 15w, 17w, 24c, 31s, 32gm, 55s, 67s, 77s and 226s. Pure guess

Thats going to be awesome!!! Im old school so prefer the mods to sprint cars Just had it confirmed that format for Manawatu champs will be standard SNZ 3 heat deal over 10 lap heats so expect fireworks! 10 laps with 18 mods on track = carnage! Ha!! Elbows will be out early ;D ;D

Wow, that's a little short ain't it? Half a dozen actual passes, over three races, could easily make a champion? Just surviving 30 laps could make a champion

Just surviving 30 laps could make a champion We accept our position as the "hotdog class" of the night and playing second fiddle to the superstocks so we can't really complain. Personally I agree 10 laps races would normally be considered to short for 18 car field but it is what it is and luckily for 11a we have about a month off after this weekend so we can be a little bit more prepared to use the elbows if needed than we would normally! Plenty of time to repair any damage that may occur!! LOL!!! ;D ;D

With the quality of racing at Wellington on the weekend, we will be in for a spectacle for sure. Let's hope the racing is as clean as it was on saturday.

Mods being second fiddle yea nah from what I saw last time they were in Palmy they'll be real good to watch. Can't even have a drinks break when their forming up cause they are so much more organised than those 'other' open wheel classes

Bleurgh modifieds.. call me bizarre but I don't know if a championship should be run for a class that doesn't exist in palmy..... there are no Palmy mods.
Not my cup of tea, but gives me a reason to escape to the bathroom if i need it.

Happy to be corrected... but i count 19 modifieds. not 18? That's what I counted too, I beleive they have added an extra incase one drops out to provide a full 18. It will all depend on the meeting in Wellington as to wether any receive damage.
