I would like to see more people supporting their chosen team(s) rather than trying to score by criticising other teams. We need to appreciate and acknowledge the sheer bravery of those that have put their hands up to take part in what is a unique and spectacular speedway event.

I agree 100%, let's get together and support the event and it's participents rather then nitpick about minor things. At the end of the day it's more racing for us fans with more teams. ;D

Devilracer666 - come on matt you have already been called out for making foolish comments by one driver and here you are doing the same again? Twice in two weeks is over the top, hopefully 3 strikes will mean you are out soon. With the form you are showing in your last few posts it certainly won't be long.

Yes im pleased they are coming to battle my brother Brian Bowater was in the team in the 90s and were written off but got thru to semis and lost to the Waikato also Auckland in the 90s at the team nationals could put together two teams a b team so to speak which kelvin gray Brian Bowater and a couple of others nearly pulled of the upset of the weekend by narrowly losing to the panthers Dave Evans Bill Dorn just to name a few And we all know what kelvin gray went on and did so we should not write anyone off GO THE PANTHERS and if they are beaten it will be bad luck that beats them

Well you might just be out of luck. The team that goes will be a bunch that are committed to race for Auckland and that's all that matters. Brad was unlucky with engine belts which meant I was thrown into the team which upset what they had spoken about. All the remaining members welcomed me, and at least I stopped the tank from moving for a few laps. Bernie was unlucky with his seat belts and Bryces fuel pump played up. All those minor issues will be sorted and they will go really well. Last year everyone wrote Auckland off and almost got through to the second night. Perhaps not full of names but go get stuffed. Whoever goes out on the track will be supported and good on those who have committed. I heard something happened to Gary Ellis' car while leading too. If reliability is sorted, i definitely wouldn't count out the Allstars.. though the drivers individually have not had that much luck, they have a stack of experience from teams racing between them. Plus some of these guys will have a point to prove, cos they know they may have been swept aside if Kerry Remnant, Tony Takaura, Karl Ross or Darren Short were in the mix. I really hope that they do well!

Having an opinion or being honest? There would be nobody left on this board if that was the case. Foolish comments......Na, cant find them. This is a discussion board, where you come to have an opinion on something. Thats the point isnt it? ?

Agree with you Ric there is no weak team at that level and seeing Palmy teams has been and is the pinnicle to stockcar/superstock racing in the country
I think we dont give these guys enough credit for putting their bodies, cars, money and time on the line for it.
So go hard Auckland been the underdogs means people have already written you off which in my eyes gives you the best chance to stamp your mark!
