From the Busters... just so there is no confusion. ;D
"It's Game Day!! The Busters had a great start to our Teams Racing campaign with two wins from two starts over the All Stars and Rebels. We were tied on Top points with the Panthers with a run off required to secure top spot. After sustaining almost zero damage and with more to loose then win (Damage to cars and drivers) we chose to default and bring five strong cars and five strong drivers in to tonight's Semi Finals. The team are overwhelmed by your support and thank all of our families, crews, sponsors but most importantly You our fans."

Night 1 was average at best. Only one really good race. The lack of atmosphere in the crowd for the majority of the night was proof of that.
Bring back 12 teams with a revised, better, format!
Night 2 is going to be so much better! Just like stockcar teams, average first night, awesome second night!
Good luck to all teams.

if thats the best conspiracy theory anyone can come up with then it must amost be the perfect meeting for the anti P people and the Promotion team must have just about ironed out all the grizzles ! our group on the walk home were thinking of how many posts would be here accusing bruce of bribing Bay Park to opt for second and for rigging the draw to give the Mustangs the weakest team of the night but silence. maybe buster and beachboy must still be in bed hoping it was all just a bad dream Well I knew that StM (Steve the Maori) wold update the busters page when he got a chance explaining why they didn't do the run off so there was no point in starting a conspiracy that wouldn't be long lived like this one may.

There may not have been lots of roll-overs, but from where I was sitting it was a brilliant first night; you only need to look at the number of races where only three or four cars finished.

Bugger me..... Now all we have to do is put up with all the nelson supporters crying and moaning about refs, palmy, the price of the hotdogs etc etc Well, I've waited and waited....and still nothing.... Perhaps may have been easier to say nothing until you had some idea of the way the conversation would go eh?

Am i right in thinking that last nights top 4 fight it out for a place in the final what does tier 2 do 2nd tier now fights off for the chance to go for 3rd and 4th. Highest winning points will meet highest points loser in top tier, racing for 3rd. The other top tier loser meets the other 2nd tier winner, racing for 4th spot. This gives them a chance for next year's seeding.

Sorry, is THIS where I'm meant to start raving and crying and whinging about refs and umpires and rulings and jacked results and the price of hotdawgs, poor haircuts, bad speedway fashion sense etc? Just don't want to come in too early....

certainly was great to see the Busters take the heat out of that piece of controversey very early in the piece - shows class. also great to see in the programme a few pages explaining some of the more particular teams rules. maybe that is what has resulted in a fairly mild sort of a day on this forum - unlike last year.
