Fathers and sons probably relieved some long pent up tension. Bloody kids never listening, take this. And kids retaliating. Shut up dad take this. Wasn't sure where it would go but scotty made the intentions pretty clear from the get go

Congrates to the panthers, once again the cream has risen to the top. Now we will have to put up with all the moaners, how the refs got it wrong, how someone did something wrong, how a team had an unfair draw, that the draw was rigged etc.
Maybe next year it will be the wildcats turn. ;D

That final race was text book really, no one could be faulted.
Was a little shocked in the tiger v busters to see horse hit cunningham on the infield. Heat of the moment and all but got it on camera and wow that could have hurt them had the busters won.
Well done to both panthers and mustangs, the panthers won but the mustangs to me took the night, the under dogs put up a massive fight and made the panthers really fight for their win.

I saw that as well (the whole thing/events leading up to), as I was on turn 4, and it looked like Cunningham was going to attack horse from the grass and horse elected to not take the chance and give him a tap on the way past.

As expected, night 2 was everything that night one wasn't.
While Rees junior and Miers junior are still a way off from being as good as their fathers (understandably), we saw the first signs under pressure of two new superstars.
Asher Rees and Jack Miers wouldn't look out of place in the Panthers, and even though he made a mistake in the semi last night, Simon Joblin wouldn't either. A very under-rated teams racer.
I thought Scott Miers was superb in the final, he car was well below 100% after the treatment it took in the semi, and he still did everything he needed too. Definitely someone who consistently steps up in the big races.
The future looks bright as a PN supporter, but it was great to see how strong some of the other teams looked. An unlucky Hawkeyes have blooded some new talent, and Murray Long and Mike Mac were better than ever. Nelson is still strong, and Jared Gray is up there with the best. Great to see the Busters back, they will only get better from here. I hope we see GB back, it just didn't go as planned for them this year.
Roll on 2014, and a decent 12 team format!

Great to see the Busters back, they will only get better from here. I hope we see GB back, it just didn't go as planned for them this year. For me, there were 5 teams that stood out as really strong: Panthers, Busters, Mustangs, Tigers and Hawkeyes. The Panthers were their typical selves, readings the races like we all knew they would and adjusting and reacting to events as they unfolded. The Busters have gelled well as a team and like the Panthers have shown they can read a race well, though they fell a little short on execution against a fired up Mustangs team. The Mustangs might be young and inexperienced, but I Jack and Asher especially seem to have learned a lot from their Dad's and will be in the Panthers in a couple of years. The Joblin's and Humphries also showed a lot of skill. The Tiger's seemed a bit tamer than usual but were still very impressive. In all four of their races they showed why they are one of the teams to beat. And finally the Hawkeyes, another team with out a lot of experience, excepting the two vets in the team, they ran an amazing race against the Tigers on night one and some expert blocking on that last lap was some of the best I've seen. Definitely a team to watch in the future.
