Did you not see that the busters knew it would be tough who ever they racedso it was not worth the risk of the damage and injuries to their drivers... maybe you should actually find stuff out before shooting ya mouth off???]

maverick , we all know why the Busters didn't go with the run off but that doesn't make it the best decision. As it turned out it probably wasn't.
For my way of thinking opting for the way they did it was acknowledging the Panthers as the better team before they had even met them on the track.
It also suggested they under estimated the strength of the Mustangs.
Had they managed to beat the Panthers in the two car per team run off they would have most likely been meeting them again in the final.
Not turning down opportunities is the best game plan in my opinion.

Panthers== Champions again but gap is closing very quickly Mustangs== Runners up building the next dynasty of Palmy domination me thinks Tigers== Showed their class on 2nd night maybe a couple of new boys needed Busters==Just cant seem to take that next step on finals night(related to members from rebels last couple of years) Hawkeyes==4 wins from 4 and finished 5th ..did they run over a black cat or drive over a mirror GB== has their overachieving finally caught up with them and teams rate them now Gleneagles.......Nelson Tigers twice...enough said Wanderers....rebuilding phase Rebels,Wildcats,Scrappers,Allstars,Warriors.....not part of big show on 2nd night but showed enough that with luck could easily have been there

In my opinion, nobody knew what the Mustangs and Panthers would do to one another. There was a possiblity of them being soft on each other and having a healthier team in the final. Who knows, if they met in the semi's that could have been an agreement between the Palmy teams?. I think the Busters did not make an error in choosing to concede to the Panthers, because the Brits did damage the Panthers. The Mustangs were just better on the night.
Panthers - Always Impressive Mustangs - Class act, but maybe concentrated on family rows too much instead of Penn. Brits - Tough, gave everything they had! Busters - Horse.. one of the best blockers in the country, but after last nite and last year, the name Rees must frustrate the hell out of him. Hawkes Bay - Murray Long must remember all those years of first to the flag teams fondly. Awesome but maybe a bit too reckless for points racing. ;D but the crowd loves it. Tigers - Normally reading the race is one of the Tigers strong points, but they seemed to be a little bit lost against the Bay. they were great in all the other races.

Well im pretty sure with all the experience in the Busters they dont underestimate any team.. There is alot of luck involved in teams racing & im sure we would be having a very different convo if Asher had been stopped..he wasnt though and thats teams racing for you. Just want to say to all teams sponsors crews supporters & the promotion etc what a great weekend cant wait for next year ;D

i doubt the busters underestimated the mustangs, all they had to do was stop asher rees and they were through. Asher drove an outstanding race and just manged to take the win,so the busters were real close. I thought the hakeyes punched above there weight and were a crowd favourite, they should be proud of their efforts.

Always next year. Wow yet another assumption well done keyboard racers!! Not actually. More of a hb supporter. But I actually read what they said and I know the boys reasoning behind it. Not going out and putting bodies on the line for a stupid runnoff is the way to go otherwise you end up teams racing like the poms last race. Maybe you lot had also put the effort into asking Kerry and Horse you would also know this... Brilliant Macgors at its worst right here.. what a shame it is generally such a good site.. shame about somenof the pwople you allow on here and there lack of knowledge and actual facts!!

As someone said the Busters would not have underestimated the Mustangs, look at the names and look at the history behind the names (not just their full name but the family name)
Asher Rees - Drives just like his dad who is probably the best teams driver in the country. Jack Miers - Has a good peice of machinery and again his dad is one of the better teams racers in the country Adam and Simon Joblin - Just yet more talent and good machines. Kerry Humphrey - Ex 2nz, which means the machine must ahve some speed and has shown that he can race teams.
That mustangs line up is nothing to laugh or scoff at and certainly nothing to underestimate,
