No one is saying the welds didn't fail, all he said was gordge chassis are built to a high standard. We don't know who did those welds, it may of been someone not knowing the proper welding technique?, it may of been when the car was first built? or it may of been someone doing a quick fix to get the car to the track during teams Races? We simply dont know the circumstances around why the welds failed, I think this has nothing to do with the gordge chassis construction which has proved it's self for years.
Anyway maybe we should get back on topic about Malcolm ngatais dedication.

Would it have anything to do with Mal driving the a$$ off it, and giving and receiving some massive hits, until eventually the laws of physics kicked in! ;D ;D

New generation Gordges are soft? These machines take a hamering beyond the call of duty, and then some. The fact that Ngatai has gone back to Murray has got to say something about the build quality of his chassis. They are only a big ol piece of steel and given enough force, will rip, bend and tear just like anything else no matter how you build them. There really isnt too many drivers that are harder on machinery (maybe S Miers/P Rees, & they need Tanks) than Malcolm and sometimes i wonder how the hell he finishes any of his races. Im not even gonna mention the pace a Gordge chassis generates....

Im not even gonna mention the pace a Gordge chassis generates.... yes yes and yes. they do take a hammering beyond the call of duty because they are not built for teams racing.......miers nor rees race new generation gordges, how can you compare tank drivers to hot rod drivers?? just for the record how many new generation gordges are there..... 7n 19c 58p 71p 88p 89w ?? take a closer look at cars built for speed and cars built to hit, im sure you will spot the difference.

89w?? dale isn't running a gordge now is he?? That'd be the V6 powered 89w that Stephen Taylor drove at the World 240's. Geoff James owned, Dale was the driver up until just before the 2012 Teams in PN.
