After watching the video of the test at Paratonga. Should we race wingless sprintcars in NZ. Would be awesome to see them at the Mount

I voted only special meetings, I think there are enough classes in speedway as it is.

Imagine 20 of those things on the video screaming around the Springs or Baypark. That's exactly why we did that, to show people that they should be run here as well as winged cars and six shooters. A six shooter would now have a clear upgrade path, keeping the cars in the sport and the prices sensible, the winged cars need only a different front beam and different shocks and they're good to go, and we could have ANOTHER INTERNATIONAL CLASS!!! So stir up as much interest as you can because it can only mean good things.

Not while there's six shooters. One or the other in my opinion is enough

Special meetings would be my vote, not as a regular class

what is the engine spec for wingless. We need a class similar to the 305 sprints they run in Austrailia and usa with or without wings.

Six shooter class should be changed so they can run a standard 350 chevy. I dont think there is a place for 410 wingless in nz. A lot of tracks are struggling for numbers in sprintcars and midgets already. As for special meetings I think its been tried before

I find 6 shooters ploddy and boring. However they are a good entry class to Sprintcars or Midgets.
However you could sit here for years "Deciding" what classes are entry classes.
So I am all for wingless sprintcars. It would make a good number riser in the actual Sprintcars I think. Also entertaining and something different tracks could run.
I do hope though it does not distract from the actual Sprintcar class themselves. But I could see them being run at Ruapuna, Ellesmere and Waikaraka Park.
I mean is a wing on a sprintcar the most expensive part? is this the reason for this "new big idea". They put on an impressive show in the USA particularly on tar seal ovals.
