After watching the latest Smack Torque I was wondering what happened to the Coupe bodied car of Fast Eddies? Its the #2 in the for sale pages one of them?

This car lives in Greymouth, and still sounds like a superstock - still has the big ford v8 Al Levien built in it, and is deceptively q2uick. The owner had last season off as he recovered from a broken ankle. Will make an appearance again this season, though it is for sale, and is supposed to be going on macgors at some stage. Only needs the ford coupe body on it and it will look exactly the same (plus a set of pipes). I don't think the seller wants big money for it either. No Hoosiers on it, so would make an excellent Historic - and the HP from a set of pipes on it would take to the front i reckon haha After watching the latest Smack Torque I was wondering what happened to the Coupe bodied car of Fast Eddies? Its the #2 in the for sale pages one of them? Before AL it was raced by 91W Wayne Richards running a holden V8 he had purchased it off 6W Eddie Hawkins when he got his new Kuriger , it is a strong and proven car especially teams racing HI Team - wasn;t sure whether to plonk this in the AL Levien thread, or T mac or what, but found a bunch of photos here and thought this might help. Chucked it in here since its a T Mac design I guess but, trying to hunt down where the car came from. The is as the car is currently was purchased from AL Levian, who ran it for a long time as his first stockcar, after moving from superstocks I think. Its a beast, and still sounds like a superstock with the big ford v8 thumping through the flow masters. I reckon it should be restored to its former glory wiht the big pipes out the side has the long hip plates like this on too. be a great resto job. ANyone know where it came from before AL in 46w?

For some reason I can't find the latest picture of this car, but here is a small version anyway. to clarify the history of this beast goes Fast Eddie, Wayne Richards, Al Levein, Tony Stanton, Graeme Nelson (current owner) I think it has also had a ford, holden, ford in it as well

The back is the wrong shape. I have both of these Coupe shapes, both very different. Tried for months to get the same shape as Fast Eddies but to no avail.

Pretty sure Ian from Wanganui Fibreglass took a mould off it and made a few before he died. Brett Giles 31p Stock car and Chris Ash from Dannevirke with his Vazey built flatty both ran that better shaped coupe body.
Doug Holmes had the other version on his 65p/b stocky.
The mould has to be out there still....somewhere.

Hi Just getting ahead of myself in my last post the 19th of Oct is actually the first Meeting at Huntly for the Golden Oldies/Classic Stockcars and our Classic club get together/barby is at Harrisville on Sunday 15th September at 12 oclock . There will be a car display of work in progress and weather permitting maybe some skids on the track. There has been a meeting held between SNZ and the groups involved around the rules /guidlines for running our demonstrations this coming season . We plan to have a draft document which still needs SNZ directors approval there for people to read and by all reports it is all about clarifying what we have been doing in the past , making sure the cars are safe to be on the track and that we are doing the laps in the spirit that it has been intended .
Yours in Racing Paul Urlich 41s

just on a different computer and found a photo of this car last time it raced. Still a good looker all right. Havn't ,managed to catch the owner yet to find out his plans, but phwoooar a set of pipes, 4 barrel and a coupe body and watch out the rest of the classics. It still sounds like a superstock without the pipes, the flow masters on it are still awesome
