There was talk the first year the poms came that Allard, Logan and a couple of other big sprintcar drivers could be forming a team.

it wouldnt stay the same or any thing like it if the americans joined in, you know you'll get some cigar chomping 40 gallon hat wearing Col Tom Parker style of dude and the first thing he'll do is change it.. he'll say man thats fecked up paying so much money for a 450 horse motor, and that will change...then he'll say i got to have an offense and a defense..so there the number of cars on the track will go up quickly, then he'll ask why is there only two teams on the track when theres so much more track to use,...thats so boring....and he'll put 4 teams or more on the track to make the drivers really scrap it out...then he'll want the drivers to have full communication with team mates, sat nav heads up displays.. and he'll want to hear it all too...and see it on big screens live from the cars..and by the time that good ol boy is finished..they'll be racing jet fighter quality cars and be involved in a huge sport...a sport the yanks can understand.. teams roller derby in cars....and I would be getting tickets to that real quick, the ultimate immersive stockcar experience in the stadium... now what do our rules allow?..oh!...ho hum...

There was an page on an ex Palmy guy on the Stockcar scene (Wal's Page) website who had built a couple of cars in America - does anyone know what happened to him and his cars?
