Rumour has it that the white elephant in the center of the main pit area is up for rent/drinking watching the racing, drinking, sleeping etc etc. This is a complete joke that they could hijack this entire area under the assumption that they were going to yet again win. However, Great Britain, the Busters, Wanganui and Hawkes Bay would graciously accept your offer in sportsmanship and comradary in offering this wonderful facility. P.S Does anyone know how to use the remote for the TV

I dont think Hawkes Bay Team would be interested in going into the "White Elephant" as they are quite happy around the corner. Also the "White Elephant" has a bit of Karma (bad luck) about it now

sensational news from the track. Humphrey disqualified against Mustangs. mustangs go thru. Joblin and Miers exclusions ruled over- officious and the Panthers/Hawkes race is to be rerun as first race of the night.

Biggest rumour of all is that Video-hub are screening tonight free for everyone, must be true as they posted it on their FB page last night, maybe they should be doing the Tui ads

The wanganui warriors were sensational and I don't believe the wet stuff is in Palmy is actually rain. I believe that the current precipitation is in fact the promoters and the one eyed palmy fans crying about both teams not topping their group. In my humble opinion the panthers definitely missed Pete Rees. As for the racing the mustangs v the warriors was the race of the night. The biggest down of the night so far was the over priced gate entry, the expensive parking and the gall of the promoters to charge $10 to sit in the grandstand the rate payer paid for in the first place.

No it's not. I bought my tickets directly from the track and I was charged $100 for 2 adults admission and 2 grandstand tickets

the extra 10 bucks is only for reserved seating. did you reserve seats ? if not then sounds like the ticket seller made a mistake. as far as parking is concerned these is plenty of parking all around the arena at no cost if you want to walk for a few minutes

The gall is not the promoter, it is the city council, who the ratepayers elected. I believe the council takes all the gate takings and pays a fee to the promoter.

as a Palmy supporter I have to say I was pretty embarrassed by the team managers remarks last night. yes the officiating was very influential but you leave that behind and move on. There was absolutely nothing to be gained by what he said other then to get even more fans offside with the 2 Palmy teams. also I didn't think it was very bright to criticise the officials right before the start of a race. Way to get them on side !

! was also embarrassed as a Palmerston North supporter So much so that I hope Speedway New Zealand review the remarks made regarding the officials.A real good way to show being a bad sportsman and bringing Speedway into disrepute . Because of the the remarks made they were not Champs but Chumps and the best result was Auckland cleaning them out bigtime

A very good racing surface which showed the quality of the driver skills and car setup.

I also thought his comments were stupid as the drivers know the rules and the officials were very consistent over the weekend. You cant ask for more than that. It just showed bad sportsmanship and gave people more reason to BOO them and want the P smashed, and funnily enough straight after that comment, they were SMASHED by the All Stars. Could not have happened at a better time Its good to see other teams up there and winning races, goes to show you don't need mega dollar budgets and a massive marquee to win ae The Panthers looked totally lost all weekend without Rees, and i no he is not the whole team but looking at the weekend, he must be a huge part of it.The panthers all trying to stop an Auckland block car, leaving the leader untouched. Rees may need to teach the rest of the Panthers how to read a race And whats with the Mustang drivers thinking they are in a normal night of racing, trying to go around the outside of block cars without even trying to tap them, HELLO 9 times out of 10 it wont work, and it didnt Over all, one of the best Teams Champs I have been to in my 26 years and the Super saloons topped it off last night. Thanks to Palmy Speedway for putting on a great show and all the drivers and crew, it was an awesome weekend.

It's difficult to believe the Panthers out there over the weekend, particularly on Saturday night, were the same team that has been largely invincible over much of the past decade. How do 4 of the country's best drivers, in a race they HAVE to win, finish 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th to a crippled car from Auckland? That is a race the Panthers SHOULD have finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th, even right up until the last lap. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I'd have never believed it. I know Carl Hodge is a budding superstar, the way he removed race leader Penn and went on to win was unreal, but surely the ONLY explanation is that aliens had infiltrated the bodies of Miers, Bengston, Penn, Joblin and Rees just after the grand parade on Friday night?
