yes there is a down side to everything I spose but the overall outcome shld be for the greater good That's why I suggested before it'd be better being put in place for Palmy next year and not Auckland this year, to lessen the downside. Teams are doing new bodies and paint during that period anyway........ Let's do it on the terracotta, Barry B

I don't mind the number change thing mordecai......but I do think teams probably have better things to do with just 3 weekends off between the two big Teams Meetings than worry about a number change. For a start that means they need to confirm every member of their squad before changing the numbers, and as we see with P/N every year that's easier said than done. There were driver changes during the final 24 hours before racing this year... Barry B I'd actually envisaged the track having someone on hand to make any changes needed , not sure if Bruce has a plan. The best part of all this is that it seems the whole team number issue is quite likely to be sorted in the foreseeable future.

you cannot be serious!! Hi busterball. Right I have gotten to the bottom of my own misery on this one. It’s taken a while as there isn't much light down here at the bottom of this hole..... The video I was watching, which is also the only one I had seen up to that point was 1.55 long on YouTube. 1.19 into it is what’s confused me so much. I couldn't work out why the busters were racing the rebels. This of course was the tigers. So not only did I interpret the video wrong, I also managed to type the wrong teams in again. Less beer more concentration I'm afraid........ being a traditionalist, i do believe (and some would have not noticed this ) part of our demise at these champs was the omission of our team flags. it also may have lead to some confusion by some who are not familiar with who they are looking at, despite being the only team wearing stripes

I can confirm the editing in the Manawatu newspaper changed the context of the story slightly. There is a one year grace on the number changes, meaning P/N next year and NOT Auckland next month.

Interesting that the team numbers problem has been talked about for years and is only just getting fixed now, just a coincidence that there was no home team in the final this time round. I think there will be many more changes to come between now and next year.

Who's to stop a team of drivers registering to their local track as 41,42,43,44,45..? Back to the drawing board haha That's not back to the drawing board......that would be a solution......if nobody ever got injured or pulled out of the team due to an engine blow up, injury or 101 other personal reasons Let's do it on the terracotta, Barry B Hey Barry, if a driver got injured that was in the team but was letting this so called team use the car, can a replacement driver use that car even if that's not their registered number?

It's not my rule, but I imagine if the 6th driver is brought in, for example, that a number change will not be necessary. The number on the car will be the number that that car normally races under I would think.......

I agree that in Stockcar Teams Rotorua & Auckland r very hard 2 read on the track,Our Stormers team are also 3 digit as 401s etc & are easy 2 read,I hope that SNZ are going to give these team a refund if these numbers are gonna be squashed for teams racing as these were bought of them,As I thought it was only Saftey issues that could be changed outside of the Annual Agm's

Barry B Oh, but then I have to write a correction in my program, or worse remember that someone has changed. God forbid that the reserve goes into another car that "fits him better and THAT driver swaps elsewhere. What ever will I do then............?
