They should treat all cars the same.thousands of hours go into racing and just for 5 minutes of thinking rather than rushing into things saves a lot of damage

Moan moan moan all I hear on here is moaning, next season you will all be moaning as you can't see past the various tractors, telehandlers, cranes ect your have all requested!! Not to mention moaning about how long it takes to set up a OSH approved rigging system to safely lower the cars down... Stop being so precious, the car was leaking fuel, getting it back down on ground would have been the main priority. Get over yourselves, it's superstock teams racing, the car wasn't placed up there on display, Kerry new the risks. Watch the full video then appreciate the amazing professional job the crash recovery crews actually did...

Leaking fuel? ? Where from? The curly bits we put on the tank should stop this.

Watching the video in hd it looked to be dripping past his left shoulder from the carb float bowl. He was very composed during the whole thing & didn't look like he was going to get out until the car was stabilized by the crash crew

Awesome video of the recovery. Having the camera rolling shows that was not a really hard landing. I work as Crash recovery and have rolled a few stockcars back onto their wheels. To try and push that car against the wall would have been Impossible . The only place to stand would have been behind the car. You could only get 3 people wide across the car. You would not stand on either side to push for safety reasons. The Car would then of come down on the wall landing on wheels damaging shocks. The car landed on its siderail that is designed to take impacts. It landed on soft clay not concrete. There would have been no damage done in the recovery of the car. The crash crews would all love to have trucks with hiabs and other equipment to use in those situations. They did not have any option but to pull it back onto its wheels. all you key board Jockeys if you don't like what you see going on on the track get off your arse and do something about it. That's now why I am working as part of crash crew at my local track. Well done Waikaraka Park Recovery Crew

Lance Gribble, Stockcar 42H, SSO Huntly volunteer fire brigade and over the past 10 or so years have been involved in the infield recovery crews at huntly speedway and waikaraka park, oh and of course I must be a keyboard jockey/racer

Agree 100 % Gribbs , There more people on here that disagreed with the way Kerrys car was treated.Theees a lot of high tech gear in these cars today that can be damaged by just dropping them ..It was a bit more than just scratching the paint off the siderail. In all of my years of going to speedway , this is the first time I have ever seen or heard of this.. ... Beachboy = Knowall

A lot said on this thread and every word typed by people not involved nor as I understand with any first hand knowledge of any damage done.
Everyone has had a change to state their opinion , some several times.
Time to move on.
