This is something we experimented with over the weekend, so instead of being on the mic, I asked SNZ if I could camp in the referees box and watch
over their shoulder's should any relegations/protests arise.
All I can say is WOW to what they put up with, and how welcoming they were to me gathering info to relay to Mal via walkie talkie. Their only concern was to wait until protests were heard and decisions were made prior to reporting, and not to relay any info on injuries willy-nilly as that is personal and confidential information for both the patient and their family.
This was another new experience, one I very much enjoyed and I do appreciate the officials in their open-ness to sharing outcomes including not being afraid to admit honestly if/when mistakes are made even by SNZ themselves.
