Super saloons? Does WP have enough for a field. Struggling to count on one hand who might turn up.

My guess would be that super saloons will be pretty light on opening night, but until the flag drops will we know for shore. With it being BP's opening night also, visiting cars will be thin on the ground. Nik with 94a is now 94M , as in photo on BP opening practice. 24A motor may have started it's water journey from it's rebuild in the states so would suggest that time will be against them unless air freighted back. 99A is getting a motor rebuild and new heads and they are talking possibly sometime in Dec if all goes to plan. What will 96A turn up with?. Don't know if the mighty sounding Blue Oval 15A is racing this season. 98A has been doing a few off season tweaks. 58A and 63A are all go I understand. Don't know what 7A and 55A plans are for the season. Any others ??.

Given the size of that field I'd think you'd want any extra saloons you could get, supers included !

one would hope some of the Huntly rego'd cars might come up for a decent run as they dont open till the 1st...how many calls have been made and owners/drivers invited? Is there any budget to entice guys with a little petrol money for towing?

An updated list of cars for this weekend.
Saloons
9A Steve or Kenneth Louden 11A Lynn Yates 21H Steve Williams 23A Pete Pedersen 26A Brendon Stuckey 27A Stephen Corry 45A Warren Beachen 89A Tom Roberts
Super Saloons
36A Mike Peglar 96A Don't believe Lance will be driving 98A Graham Andrews
There are a number of saloons that will be ready over the next couple of weeks.
3NZ Nigel Ross - Planning on assembling the engine next week. 4A Anita Sloot - Just putting the finishing touches on the new car. 5A Phil Mainland - Engine was being assembled when I was at Stealth Race Engines last weekend. 15A David Isles - ? 47A Mark Oldfield - Car was getting birthday and can't be far from race ready. 48A Phil Towgood - Only doing a few meeting a season. 61A - Roy Walker - Haven't heard anything. 74A Scott Lansdowne - Engine is all done, unsure when Scott will be out. 75A Craig Duthie - Craigs normally always ready to race so can't be far away. 91A Codi Singer - New engine is just about to go on the dyno, only a couple of weeks away. 95A Bruce - Not quite ready yet. 146A Paul Wright - Just waiting on a new body for the old Monza.
And the normal process for informing drivers when saloons are running at Waikaraka Park, as soon as I hear from Bruce that saloons are running I send out a group txt to all Auckland saloons along with a number of out of town drivers which regularly run at Waikaraka Park, this also includes some drivers reps from other tracks so that they can pass onto their local drivers.
